Silverline Spring Calipers Set 3pce (155026)

Good price and decent quality. For occasional hobby use these are O.K. If you are a professional engineer you would buy top quality tools. A set of 3 for £7 that can't be bad.

These calipers are a little rough at the tips, but a couple of strokes with a whetstone makes them totally fit for purpose. Others have complained about this and the oily preservative used, but it seems they are not used to workshop practices. The calipers are stable enough to accurately transfer a measurement from the workpiece to the measuring device - job done! Every lathe needs a set of these, great for the price.

I usually steer clear of silverline stuff but needed these in a hurry. Overall very good quality, accurate and reliable. For what they are they represent good value for money. I could have paid more but these are well good enough for my needs

Just what I was looking for..and arrived so fast

These calipers are incredible value. Three medium large calipers made of thick steel with a very strong spring hinge and completely functional. However, they were also incredibly grimey/grubby and needed two wet wipes to clean the oil/dirt from the surface of each one., They were also crudely made with file/abrasion marks still evident on the straight calipers and one leg had the point flattened. Value - yes, quality- no.

Not perfect but useable and very good value for money

Why pay ten times as much when you can get the same results.

Good value for money - a very practical set of tools, ideal for use with my wood turning hobby. Safely packaged and promptly delivered. Thoroughly pleased.
