Quick delivery. My Grandson loves this crystal growing kit.

Saved using this until I knew we could have the heating on having read other reviews re poor results. Clear instructions. We put them on a shelf above a radiator to ensure optimal growth and were really pleased with the results. Ended up with spikey and cubed crystals of various sizes which my 7&8 year old boys enjoyed checking each day. Useful info re learning points for kids also included. We think it was worth the money and a lovely project for half term :-)

White didn’t crystallise but I may have gotten it wrong

First thing read the instruction. These do work best when using freshly boiled water, distrurb as little as possible, don't keep in a room too hot (as UK had recently) or too cold (how UK is 50 weeks of the year) I did two of these kits and one during heat wave didn't work as well. The crystal climbers it's best to take out rather than push back in. Make sure u don't ignore them as I left for 2 hours and they took over in the heat. When the crystals are to size drain the liquid don't wait for all the liquid to evaporate. Wear gloves when handling the crystals. Work out what colours you want before you start as the seed crystals come with just enough so big crystal is one pack, so don't use all one colour of want different shades or colours than white, red and blue. Or as my first one white, red, blue, purple and one was red,blue and pink. It's a great kit to do with kids but maybe have adult mix, handle and display and let kids watch then grow and in display case ( maybe tape the case or could drop on floor and break (yes I dropped few b4 taped them)

The item description looked good, so we bought this for my 10years old son as Xmas present. We have followed all what is says on the manual, but could not get a nice looking result. The manual does not says what is the ideal temperature for it, and even how should we know when the crystal is at it's mature point? We were having nicely developing crystals, but may we waited too long, or who knows what was wrong but the crystals collapsed creating a flat container sized something. We left it at a place where the kids could not reach - safeguarding the developing crystal against crystal-breaking shaking or anything else. You just can not see through the liquid if you choose dark colour mixture! So, you don't know when it is good or bad or ready, when you should drain it or what? Even how you supposed to know if something is getting wrong? So, may a more detailed manual would avoided our not happy ending experience, but may would work better at other's houses - who knows?

Santa gave this to my daughter. You have enough resources in the box to make one large, two medium and four small crystals. There is 3 colours provided on the box, red, blue and white, however the instructions give you mixing gudiance for more colours. Easy to follow guidance. Was very impressed how easy it was. Good results (only make one so far).

The kit worked really well and the kids were delighted to see the crystals grow. The little tubs double up as display cases, which is cool, although they’re made out of really flimsy and surprisingly sharp edged plastic. Also be careful when picking them up, as the bottoms fall out - for this reason it drops a star. Overall though very happy and good value.

Toen het pakket binnen kwam, viel op dat de data op de zakjes bijna allemaal een jaar oud waren. We wisten dus niet of het zou werken. Instructies exact opgevolgd, zelfs met een digitale thermometer. Uiteindelijk de bakjes laten rusten op een stuk karton, bovenop een radiator (niet te heet). Na 3-4 dagen een mooi resultaat (zie foto's). Sommige kristallen voorzichtig met een pincet eruit gehaald, om breken te voorkomen.

Habe dieses Set jetzt schon zum zweiten Mal gekauft und es überrascht mich immer noch wie viel besser als alle auf dem deutschen Markt üblichen Sets es funktioniert. Für Kinder sollte der Lerneffekt immer im Vordergrund stehen, aber was bringt es einem bei Kosmos und Co. immer nur die Bilder anzusehen "Ja, so könnte das aussehen", anstatt in einer auch für Kinder akzeptablen Zeit gute Ergebnisse zu erzielen. Klar haben diese auch funktioniert, aber die Zuchtergebnisse sind nicht so toll für Kinder und auch nicht für den nicht sehr begeisterungsfähigen Erwachsenen. Die Experimente sind auf ca. eine Woche ausgelegt und man sieht die ersten Resultate bereits nach wenigen Stunden. Halten Sie sich präzise an die Anleitung und Sie werden staunen. Was ich jedoch ändern würde: Keinesfalls auf den Kühlschrank oder in die Nähe von Gerätschaften die oft benutzt werden bzw. selbst vibrieren! Die Zuchtschalen brauchen ein absolut störungsfreie und UV freie Umgebung! Selbst das berühren und nachsehen würde ich unterlassen, man kann ja mal mit einer Taschenlampe versuchen die Lösung zu durchleuchten ohne das Gefäß zu berühren. Für den wissenschaftlichen Background sind sicherlich die Sets von Galileo oder Kosmos besser, aber wenn es rein um das Züchten von Kristallen geht, sind Sie hier richtig. Ich werde in den nächsten Tagen noch ein paar Bilder zu meiner Bewertung hinzufügen. Edit: Das Bild zeigt 3/4 Kristalle der kleineren Zuchtschalen nach 6 Tagen. Alle anderen befinden sich noch in der Lösung. die Kristalle haben unterschiedlichste Morphologien und sind ca. 3-4 cm groß. Nach 6 Tagen ein unglaubliches Ergebnis.

Nice activity for kids. Worth buying.

This is a awesome product...these grew very nice a good size in only 7 days sitting by the TV. In the light not a lot of heat as it is winter and we are electric heat🤔. These are medium. They had a lot of growth crawling up the sides, the white rings did not help that fact. Do not break the growth off the edges on to the growing crystal. It just builds up and takes from the beauty. I did and had to clean it all out of the blue one with a toothpick. They are pretty with the sun shining on them. Do not dump the juice from these down the drain. Soak it up in paper towel bag it and toss it in the garbage. It will continue to grow in the dark in your drain. I read that in another review. I do recommend...
