I bought this bag as a replacement for a Karrimor Urban 30 rucksack that disintegrated after less than a years use. This bag is superior in every way. I use it primarily for cycling to work, but also for occasional hiking and day trips, and for that it is perfect. It isn't too big -- roughly 30 x 45 x 15 cm -- but still holds a good amount whilst distributing the weight comfortably on good quality shoulder straps. It's made from a seemingly thick and sturdy material which (although a little plasticky) has proven waterproof even in torrential downpours -- albeit only for short periods, up to half an hour. The external pocket on the front is a little small, but far from unusable. This is a versatile all round bag which is comfortable and well designed -- if you have very specific uses for a rucksack then spend more, and buy a very specific rucksack. Perhaps most importantly it is well priced and great value for money. Update: After eight months the bag is still going strong. It is still waterproof, and shows no signs of breaking or wearing. However sometimes it seems a little small. But it is still a wonderful bag that I am glad I bought.

'Berghaus' is associated with quality, and this backpack represents that quality at an affordable, competitive , and reasonable price. I bought 2 of these backpacks for 2 x teenage grandsons for their gym/sports activities. Their vetbal response to their gift has been, "Cool!". The 20L a perfect size as a multipurpose day-pack. The fabric quality of the bsckpack looks good and feels durable. The shoulder straps are comfortable, with a chest clip to prevent the shoulder straps rolling off the shoulder, especially when cycling. NB There is no buckled waist/hip belt which is really only necessary on a larger backpack when carrying heavier gear. I'm glad I chose this Berghaus backpack because of its quality, price, and a brand that is well respected by those who are 'fashion conscious'.

This is the old version of the 24/7 20 litre rucksack - the new version (which I ordered and since returned) isn't as well designed in my opinion. However, they are both really well made and are solid and sturdy, and both hold a decent amount - definitely enough for a weekend city-break, or with careful packing, a week in the sun. With a bit of a squeeze, they both just about fit RyanAir's hand luggage requirements (40x20x25cms) and easily fit EasyJet's requirements (45x36x20cms). This (old) version has a zipped inside pocket, and a big zipped outside pocket, plus a key clip inside the main compartment - the new version doesn't have any of these. This (old) version is easier to pack than the new version - when unzipped the sides are deeper with the top being more of a flap. Also, the zips don't jam - the new version's zips jammed all the time. One thing to note is that the description mentions it has walking pole holders - it definitely doesn't have these! It does have 4 small loops on the back so you can thread cord or elastic through to attach coats etc. to the back.

It’s a good bag. I use it for my daily commute. It fits a large iPad plus lunch & small coat easily. It has useful other pockets with a small one on the inside useful for keys & change with one on the outside for other bits & bobs. The water bottle holders are good & hold a bottle firmly in place. There are reports about zips breaking but the bag seems strong & I have no reason to think that this won’t continue. I was goin to use this for running with but the only strap is a chest strap & it bounces around way too much to run with. Cycling would be ok but to be suitable for running a waist strap on a bag would be needed. Good value, well made & a very decent size :)

These rucksacks are a good size, with good zips, and made of strong material. The straps are comfortable and secure. There's a good array of pockets and side pockets are especially useful for water bottles, thus freeing space inside (and having the bottles within easy reach) Things to be aware of: The padding is okay, but you may need to position the contents if any have sharp edges so they're not digging in your back. The clip strap that fits over your chest isn't the best in terms of positioning, so you'll probably have to fiddle with the strap length to get it right. But as most rucksacks are a "one size fits all" design, this is to be expected. They'll lose their lustre once they get muddy and are cleaned a couple of times, but this isn't a big deal unless you're using them for multiple purposes (e.g. for work as well as walk). A good reliable rucksack though, and ticks all the boxes. Recommended.

I bought this bag when it was on offer and got an absolute bargain! My other half has been looking for a good quality bag for a while now for riding his motorbike to work and expressed that he wanted a Berghaus one. He is very happy with this little bag! The bag is nice and light, the material is good quality and there's plenty of room inside! He puts a full set of uniform in this bag and still has room so would be great for someone if they were looking to go away for a night etc. The straps are very comfortable, they have added padding and are nicely shaped to offer even distribution of weight. The back of the bag is also added meaning it prevents anything that's in the bag from digging into your back. The best thing about this bag is the clip on the straps, this adds so much protection and comfort to prevent the straps slipping and for someone who does ride a bike, this means you don't have to spend time worrying about adjusting your bag to keep it on your shoulders! Our only downside would be that the bag is not waterproof, so we will need to purchase a cover for this.

A great size for a work bag. Holds a 15" laptop snuggly. Very comfortable to carry. Chest strap is non removable but does adjust. One main compartment, two smaller zip pockets and a key holder which works well. Able to carry all I need for a day at work including lunch and coffee brewing kit.

Decent sized bag that seems good quality. I bought this bag to take on holiday, both as a day bag and a small carry-on bag. I wasn't sure that quoted dimension wise it was going to be OK for carry-on but a review presented the bag as slightly smaller and they were correct. The bag easily meets the small bag criteria set by Easyjet. The front pouch is great for holding your travel documents. Inside is a small pocket that is useful for keys, money, charger,etc. There are two compartments inside the bag. One I used for storing my tablet and the other I used for clothes (5 polo/T shirts, PJ'S, shorts, jeans, fleece, junderwear) and bathroom accessories. As a day bag it was perfect for sightseeing, trips to the beach and hiking in the mountains. Was able to easily fit in lunch, drinks, fleece, jacket, towel, flip-flops, etc. The net side pockets are useful for water bottle and cap storage.

Iniziamo con la consueta puntualità e precisione Amazon, oramai raramente criticabile. Zaino, beh...per la cifra spesa è davvero una scelta ottima. Tasche: una interna in alto con classica zip, ci sta portafoglio Moleschin e foglietti vari. Dentro è diviso in due comodissimi scomparti.. in pratica all'interno c'è un'altra tasca capiente e spaziosa. Più una tasca esterna davanti con zip e due taschette laterail una per ogni lato . Molto comoda la doppia zip principale con due laccetti. Infine la qualità....davvero OTTIMA si percepisce solidità, cura nei materiali e alta qualità. Lo "schienale" più rigido della media seppur morbido non fa afflosciare su se steso lo zaino. laccetti e fascette qua e là per appendere/legare/agganciare qualsiasi cosa. Molto utile per il lavoro (urban) e anche per gite e uscite anche outdoor (ovviamente per tenere pile kway acqua e panini occorre almeno 30L. CONSIGLIATISSIMO. Berghaus TOP!!!

It’s a well-produced and light backpack. I bought the black 20L version. It’s not so big, not so small. Just perfect for daily usage, work, school, shopping or day-trips. It feels comfortable when I wear it. Also very affordable when you consider it’s quality.

Ottimo zainetto: comodità, robustezza, versatilità e prezzo sono i suoi punti forti. Ho avuto modo di collaudarlo un pò dappertutto: in città come turista, al mare, su qualche vetta come escursionista, in mountain bike abbinato a una sacca idrica, sugli sci e anche in ufficio. Prezzo irrisorio per un grande risultato. Berghaus non offre molta scelta ma i prodotti sono impeccabili.
