I don't know how high it was from the floor to the top of the mattress,only lay on it once to check there was no damage from the poor box it came in,i advise you to check the box for damage+bed if you order it,i was not happy with the packing of this item .The mattress is a lot better than I thought,good comfort,worth the extra money also because it does not have wooden slats underneath but uses a metal mesh/spring it feels more comfortable and I think this a good fold up bed you can use often,thick mattress makes the difference.
