Needs USB and mic inputs...read on
My wife ordered this believing it to be a USB mic but it was not clear that this requires BOTH a USB and mic connection. Her laptop does not have a mic input so it was useless to her, she was upset and for some reason dismissed the idea of returning it so it's ended up with me.I connected it to my laptop and after some fiddling with audio settings and gains etc. got good speech rendition through it. That's not an incredible achievement for a microphone using two sockets instead of one but we'll never know how good it is as a singers mic because my wife cannot use it (the intention was for her to use it to put subtle backing singing onto a karaoke track)EDITI am adding a star to take my review up to 4. I am doing this because, without any contact from me, the company has been in touch and tried to remedy the situation. I was a little taken aback by the gesture, which was a pleasant surprise and deserving of positive recognition.

Great Microphone!
Very impressed with this product. Although I own a number of good quality microphones, I needed something cheap and quickly available for a project I was working on. This fit the bill and I took a chance. What can I say? From the moment I opened the box I was impressed. The microphone was supplied well packed, and the set of accessories is fairly comprehensive. Not only do you get the microphone but you also get the full shock mount, a basic cable, and a wind/pop cover for the microphone made of black foam. All in all a pretty complete package. To be honest, this is probably intended as an entry level package and so I will take the time to review all of the supplied objects, not just the microphone itself.Microphone:Overall a good first impression. It's nicely assembled, and honestly looks far more expensive than it really is. The build quality is good- this is all solid metal, with little to no plastic in sight (save for the inside of the XLR connector). Out of curiosity I stripped the microphone apart and it's the same story on the inside. The body is made entirely of metal and is in five pieces- the microphone surround, a solid metal chassis (which runs all the way through the microphone and is well made and well finished, despite not even being visible!), a small decorative ring between the silver surround and the body, and the body casing itself, which is in two pieces, the main barrel and the base. The casing is thick, and the finish is well applied across the entire surface. The electronics inside also appear to be well finished. The circuit boards are clean and tidy, and the soldering is good. Of course, all of this is entirely secondary to the actual condenser fitted inside, and ultimately, this is what you are paying for. I will say this. Clearly, this is not the most expensive product on the market, and of course, the condenser does reflect this, but what you get is still an excellent component which sounds really very good in use, indeed more than adequate for the purpose I bought it for- some basic voice-over work.Moving on to the other accessories:The wind filter is a nice, thick, quality feeling foam. It also fits really well on the microphone, being very snug and secure. It is held on by friction alone but this works very well and it is in no danger of falling off, even with the microphone fully inverted. The shock mount is fairly basic, but it does work, and it does hold the microphone well. It's not the most advanced model out there, but then that's expected for it to be included in this incredibly priced package. In fact, I think it's at least as good as some of the mounts you can buy which cost more than the price of this whole package on their own! The fitting mechanism is a little rudimentary and does take getting used to, but it's effective. This mount includes the adapter/insert to convert between the two microphone stand threads, and it's made out of solid machined metal, and seems to be good quality. The included cable is quite long, and the overall quality is good. However, it is an XLR to 3.5mm cable. I would really have liked it if they had at least included a 3.5mm to XLR adapter to allow XLR-XLR connection, or ideally an XLR-XLR cable with an additional jack connector to allow phantom power. I fully understand that their reasoning is completely valid- the predominant target user of this microphone will connect it straight to a PC, however the microphone supports phantom power and it would have been nice to have a cable out of the box which allowed this to be used. Thankfully XLR cables are cheap and the expense of purchasing one separately and having both doesn't add that much extra cost in the long run.In use, the microphone performed very well indeed. The audio quality was good, and you'd be hard pressed to tell it wasn't recorded on a much more expensive setup. Obviously, for a full professional project this probably wouldn't cut it, but for something like a promotional or amateur video production, or even a YouTube vlogger, this is an excellent microphone solution.

A nice touch is to be able to alter the volume ...
I bought this mic to plug in to my laptop for when i record my youtube videos. Its simple to set up, just plug and play via USB and the mic jack. Theres obviously options for having hand-held or clipping it to the tripod stand for which ever method you prefer. It looks sleek and stylish with its gold top and its built really well. A nice touch is to be able to alter the volume and echo via the dials on the actual mic. Overall im very impressed and will put it to good use.

Great customer services, good mic.
The microphone itself is great, but the stand is not so good - if you change the angle of the mike it falls over.Difficult to synch with my laptop too - no instructions but got it to work eventually.Customer services are good though. They noticed that I wasn't completely happy with it so have refunded some of the purchase price. Cant say fairer than that.I would definitely buy from this company again.

A well made budget condenser microphone
The AMZ Tronics Condenser Microphone is a sturdily constructed piece of equipment. The cable is nice and thick and the microphone body is also a nice size. The foam cover on the top helps stop everyone hearing your breath you don't get that with all condenser microphones. When unboxed I was a bit perplexed by having both a 3.5mm Jack and USB connection but it made sense with the dials on the side, the Jack was for the microphone and the USB to power it.The Echo and Volume feature dials on the body of the microphone are a nice to have but I don't think I'll be using them to much with Echo right down and Volume right up.With the dials on the body I found them to be a bit small and fiddly and they really needed a flange bit to help with their manipulation. The stand although basic worked well enough and didn't look at any point that it was going to fall over which is the last thing you want if you are recording gameplay while commentating which I do a lot of. However a proper arm or stand would be needed for studio work.Overall I love this microphone and it does what I need it to do even better is the price, so for a budget Condenser Microphone I recommend it.See my video review on YouTube look for the 'Savvy Gadgetz' channel. It has never worked
I purchased this mic some time ago and could never get it to work, I tried everything, it sounds like there may be something loose inside. I had emailed the company about it but received nothing back. Poor product.

100% solid
Okay so this is an extremely good mic and the build quality is spot on. It's worth noting that if you have a multi function 3.5 you will need to go to your sound card settings. This multi function 3.5 on computers is designed for headsets. If you open the sound card manager you can set it as an input port for the mic, really easy to use and good for making videos :-)

Okay could be better
The Bois told me I sounded like I was playing at an airport with 24/7 takeoffs of ac-130s.
