iPad (5th generation, 2017) Keyboard, Arteck Ultra-Thin Bluetooth Keyboard Folio Case Cover with Built-In Stand Groove for Apple iPad 5 and iPad Air 1 with 130 Degree Swivel Rotating

Ordered two as my boyfriend also recently bought himself an iPad having seen and tested out mine. Really impressed with the overall quality and the function key (blue ‘Fn’) which allows the numbers to have alternative uses such as screen brightness adjustment, volume, swapping between apps and copy/paste. Has Pound (£), Euro (€) and Dollar ($) keys - which I noticed many people asking about - some of which are accessed either by using the regular ‘function’ (Fn) key, or the Alt key as some of them even have 3 uses, and the appropriate number. Quite a bit smaller than my MacBook that I’m used to but definitely my go-to now as it was the only thing my iPad was lacking! People with larger than average hands could find the adjustment that bit more difficult depending on what they are accustomed to, but I see no reason why anyone shouldn’t be able to use this - my other half thinks it’s the best thing he now owns! It fits flush to the edges of the iPad 2018 that we both have, and is weighted enough that the iPad doesn’t bowl it over but not so much that the case and iPad are not travel-friendly or overly heavy. Comes with a charging wire that although it’s short, I don’t think I’ll be needing much as the case has not been charged since arriving with me 3 days ago, and is in perfect working order despite being used all the time. Keyboard goes to sleep after around an hour or two of no use and can be used while charging. The iPad stands in the case at multiple different angles depending on what you need - doesn’t go quite as far back as a MacBook can but no complaint on it. Only thing I can’t give an accurate review on is the physical longevity as I’ve only had it 3 days, but no hiccups yet. For £19.99 each at time of purchase (June 2018), less than half the price of a regular Apple folding case (nice cases, but constantly falling off), it’s certainly worth grabbing. Two very happy customers!

Early days but seems an excellent product. Replaces a Brydge which was 'ok,' for 3 years but eventually could not handle Blue Tooth any more. These keyboards cost a fraction of the price of the Brydge. The Arteck also looks better, the Brydge has a stupid arrangement with rubber protectors for its metal Ipad holders which never fitted properly. This keyboard has a full width holder for the Ipad and its plastic so it holds firmly, looks neat and does not pose any scratch danger to your Ipad case. I thought about the durability of plastic but in fact the Arteck seems pretty strong and in fact most laptops I have owned over the past 30 years have had either plastic or rubberised casing not aluminum. The case looks very attractive and professional. The charging is via a fairly standard lead unlike Brydge which has a 'unique,' connection that unsettlingly never seems to fully click in. Keyboard is very nice, keys are very responsive, the weight is light and the grip and the angle of operation for the Ipad are all easily adjustable and it stays in place. Very good product - I hope first experiences continue as strongly and I feel it is a worthwhile recommendation. Note: The star ratings above reflect that 2 weeks of ownership does not enable battery life assessment and the touch screen rating is for the Ipad. The Arteck is rated as a BT keyboard!

The keyboard is a standard qwerty layout and is easy to use but it tends to lag a little prior to typing, once this lag has fought up the keyboard operates fine and is fairly sturdy. There are little vinyl strips in on the inside of the screen location lugs which came loose and i have superglued them in place and the little rubber feet have also come away. Other tan that the keyboard has only needed to be charged 3 times in the time i have owned it and given the amount of use it gets is really good. Good product for the money but there are better products if you are willing to spend the vast amount they want for them. However i have now updated this review to a 4 star for customer service as they have kindly sent me a new item as a replacement for the original. Great service, thanks

I love this iPad keyboard/cover, it has made my iPad Air so much more than it was. I wish I had got it years ago! This keyboard does not take up any screen space, so you have the full screen at all times, unlike the virtual keyboard which obscures half of the screen when active. This makes the iPad so much more pleasant to use, and easier to work productively with. The keys have a good feel and I can type properly with it, without needing to look down at the keys, just like my desktop PC or laptop. Previously I would only use my iPad for a quick message or email, now I can actually type lots. Installing the keyboard is so simple - - slide the iPad into the case - press <On> button to switch the keyboard on - press <Connect> button on the keyboard to connect to iPad - press Settings | Bluetooth On on the iPad - press Bluetooth 3.0 Keyboard - done! The keyboard has a USB charging cable, it charged quickly. I could use it immediately with the cable attached. Within a few minutes it was charged enough for me to use it unplugged. The case looks metal but is actually a solid feeling type of plastic. The iPad stays open/up with ease, unlike the Apple case I have, which is not so robust. I love the way it looks, it turns my iPad into a MacBook mini-me! On top of that, I am so happy with Arteck's service. The product arrived damaged (by the delivery) so I messaged Arteck, with photos. The Arteck service team responded immediately and were friendly and helpful. They arranged a replacement and it arrived in under 24 hours! So, not just a great product, but a great service too - thanks so much Arteck. I could not recommend this highly enough.

I ordered this keyboard (which I’m using to write this review right now with) yesterday afternoon and it arrived first thing this morning which was great. The packaging was stunning - protective and informative with the user manual. The keyboard itself is extremely well-built and blends with the iPad flawlessly. I use an iPad 6th generation in Space Grey and it still looks great even though the keyboard’s silver. The key travel is perfect, the hinges are widely adjustable, and it puts the iPad in sleep when you close the keyboard (similarly to Apple’s keyboards/covers). I cannot recommend this product enough, it’s totally worth the small price tag in comparison to Apple’s sky high prices! Blown away so far, and only have been using it for a few hours :)

Having traded in my iPad Air for a new iPad 2018 at the Apple Store I was looking for a keyboard to go with it. The rave reviews of the Arteck keyboard persuaded me to order one. And I have not been disappointed. Out of the box it looks good and in keeping with the iPad. The iPad slips into the keyboard hinge with a nice interference fit. Turn the keyboard on and associate it with the iPad through the iPad Bluetooth settings; press the connect button and you are away. Once set up just start typing and after two or three keys the iPad keyboard disappears and the keyboard is connected. The keyboard is nice to use and gives you all the keys that you would have on an Apple keyboard, except that one or two have Windows names (e.g. Alt instead of Option). So much easier to type on than the iPad on screen keyboard. Plus you can see the whole screen. Closed the keyboard protects the screen and open it looks like a small laptop. A great purchase, especially at the price of £20.

I have had one of these for several years now, love it, perfect for invoices, letters or anything that needs typing up quickly. Battery life is amazing. I sent this upgrade back as it does not have the same layout as the old one. I couldn’t use a protector case whilst the ipad was fastened in. The clips are so tight I could barely fix the ipad to the keyboard. The new design has the keypads further forward so there is nowhere for palms to rest whilst typing. Also they’ve taken away a whole row of keys meaning you need to press extra buttons when accessing screen light or saving etc. No doubt the keyboard will be prefect for many but after having the older version I returned then purchased an older model, even though it was £10 more expensive - to my mind it’s money well spent. Returning was simple so points to the sellers for this.

I’m really thrilled with this Bluetooth ultra thin keyboard for my iPad. It’s turned my iPad into a small laptop. It was really easy to connect to the Bluetooth - switch it on and you’re away. The one issue I had was that when typing in text message if I tapped the Return (Enter) key the message sent which was really awkward. I got in touch with Arteck - which was really easy - for help. I was told to click the Shift key first and then Enter and it would move to another line. Brilliant Arteck have made a great keyboard for my 5th Gen (2017) iPad for a really impressive low price Thank you Arteck I couldn't be happier with my very slim very light keyboard

Great keyboard! Fits my iPad perfectly, the sleep/wake functionality is my friend, and it does what it's supposed to do, let's me use a keyboard with my iPad. Hinges actually work, unlike some other keyboards I've tried. Whatever angle I want my iPad on, I just have to set it and forget it. It stays where I want it. Battery life is great as well. I travelled for two weeks with this, using it for about 3 hours a day, every day, and did not have to charge it the entire time I was away. (I know they say 100 hours but I've been burned in the past and don't always believe these things until I've seen for myself!) I do miss having a backlit keyboard but even without that feature, the Arteck Keyboard is a solid product at a great price and I'm glad I gave it a chance. Update: may 2021! Worked perfectly until this morning, when it slid off my bed. It saved my iPad! And the keyboard still works. But some screws and springs popped out and now it won’t hold my iPad upright. Legit the best iPad keyboard I’ve ever owned. Just ordered another one.

Neu ausgepackt und eingesetzt macht die Tastatur einen sehr guten Eindruck. Alles funktioniert bestens. Allerdings erfolgt diese Bewertung unter dem Vorbehalt der Haltbarkeit, die derzeit noch nicht bewertet werden kann. Die vorherigen beiden Tastaturen hielten jeweils nicht mehr als 1,5 bis 2 Jahre, was im Endeffekt zu einer nicht zufriedenstellenden Bewertung geführt hätte. Wie es sich mit dieser Tastatur hier verhält, bleibt also abzuwarten. Update Ende April: Die Tastatur kränkelte nach 3 Monaten plötzlich: die Ziffertasten ab 6 gaben nicht mehr die richtigen Zeichen wieder, so dass man beispielsweise keine PLZ bei Bestellungen eingeben konnte. Dies habe ich reklamiert und bekam innerhalb von 2 Tagen eine Ersatztastatur zugesendet mit dem Hinweis darauf, dass die Garantiezeit wieder von neuen beginnt. Ausgezeichneter Kundendienst. Mit der Tastatur bin ich nach wie vor vollumfänglich zufrieden.

旧型(第5世代)新品を二束三文で購入。がしがし使いたいが文字入力時にはやはりキーボードが恋しい。 散々探し(何せ旧い)、どうも違うと感じるモノばかりで諦めかけたところこちらが上がってきた。何しろ本体より高い(！)買い物になる訳で、それでも逡巡し漸くポチる。 結果、満足。俄然iPad操作が楽しくなった。 ペアリングはスムース。キーボード入力ももう少し慣れればイケる気がする。 iPadを守るカバーは不要。ダサいカバーを付けるくらいなら、剥き出しでキズ上等！で使いたい。 持ち運びで気になるのはむしろ重量。駆体が重めなのでキーボードは軽いが良い。こちらセットするとアタマでっかち、でもひっくり返らない！ おまけに2年保証。 そしてビジュアルも悪くない。オヤジ臭く無いしファンシーでも無い。大袈裟でも無い。この一体感。検索して上位に出てくるカバー兼キーボードたちを選ばなくて、本当に良かった！

I love that it is hinged and it holds my iPad great. I can adjust to whatever angle I want. It’s lightweight, yet feels sturdy. The charge lasts a very long time also. It really turned my iPad into a mini laptop, which is nice as I don’t have a desktop or laptop. I was just using my phone for a few years until Ingot this iPad 5th generation on a Black Friday special November 2017. I ordered this keyboard shortly after. It connected easily. Lately though, it has been very hard to type on, adding extra periods in between words and the backspace button might go back one space, four, or not at all. I started spending as much time fixing things as I was getting anything done, so ended up using my phone for it. I read reviews on others, trying to figure out which one to order to replace this Artec. But I couldn’t find any I thought I’d like as well with the hinged lid. And when mine was working well, I loved it. So I looked at this one again and read several reviews. I read where someone was having the same problems and said they disconnected from their Bluetooth and then reconnected and that helped the problem. I tried that and it actually did help a lot! I used it for about an hour tonight and it was so much better! I did notice toward the end of using it tonight, it did start to give me a few problems, so I hope I won’t have to keep disconnecting and reconnecting it every night. Update:the very next day, the problem was back and gave up trying to type on it because it was taking more time to delete all the extra characters and capital letters in the wrong places.I still love the design of it, but I’m going to change my rating down another star because I can’t continue using it and get anything accomplished with these problems. Too bad, since I also liked that it was like a mini laptop with this style keyboard. New update: Well, I have to say Artek has great customer service. They saw my review and emailed me to let me know they would send me a replacement for free! Update: I did get the free replacement and it does work much, much better! I wasn’t surprised at how much heavier than the first one it was! But that’s okay with me. I pleased with the great improvement and the customer service.

Update 2: Leider hat die Tastatur nach ca 7 Monaten wieder die gleichen Probleme und war auf einmal defekt. Wieder war der Kundenservice top und hat sie anstandslos und schnell ersetzt - Tastatur also 3 Sterne, Service aber 5 und damit dann insgesamt 4 Sterne. Solange sie funzt, ist die Tastatur super! Update 1: Das hier ist eine Ersatzlieferung, da meine erste Tastatur nach einmpasr Monaten einen Defekt hatte. Der Kundenservice war sehr schnell, zuvorkommen und unkompliziert. Ich habe umgehend ein neues Produkt erhalten und bin nach wie vor zufrieden. Darum ist hier nochmal meine ursprüngliche Rezension: Soweit und nach der ersten Anwendung bin ich sehr positiv überrascht und zufrieden. Die Tastatur macht einen stabilen und guten Eindruck und funktioniert einwandfrei. Einzig, das fehlende Mousepad ist etwas schade, aber damit kann ich gut leben. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist super.
