Pretty good drill press replacement for those on a budget
Like others, I removed one of the springs as it was too much push back and too squeaky to use otherwise.I got this one because I thought having the chuck moulded to the armature would make fore more square drilling, and I think I'm right. Also, it's easier to connect the chuck to your drill than the other Wolfcraft model where you connect it to the body of your drill and tighten it with two knobs. I hadn't considered that the mouth of the chuck only goes up to 10mm so that's important. The teeth of the chuck aren't tight, so sometimes it spins if you're not careful when tightening it.You get what you pay for basically, on balance I would probably get the other model as I wouldn't have chuck issues, and the other one's got a shop vac attachment which would be super useful.

Works for me
Needed simple drill guide, attached on drill , drills down ok. Is it perfect no, the base limits the drilling. Doesn't go deep enough for my needs. Too narrow, limits what material and size you work on. Still usable. Not prepared to spend a fortune on better system. Plus is its metal frame. Strong. Haven't broken it as yet. Used it alot, set up the way I need it. Now easy to grab, attach drill off I go. Doesn't get loose, needing tighting the bits up etc.

Works well, more accurate than I expected.
Used this to drill through a steel bolt, needed to make sure I went dead straight. This did the job and is great if you don’t have a pillar dril/drill press, or can’t get a drill press into where you need to drill. The quality of this could be slightly better, I’d prefer metal fixings as opposed to the plastic ones, but I have to say it works great, very little runout in the Chuck, and I was able to drill my bolt hole very easily. Time will tell how it holds up to more use, but so far so good.

No bearing in chuck spindle, sloppy fit with too much play.
I had high hopes but out of the box I could feel a considerable amount of play in the drill attachment spindle that holds the chuck. Undoing the circlip that holds it in place reveals no bearing at all, it's just metal on metal and the fit is quite poor with a fair bit of slop - there's no way anyone could get an accurate cut/centring that would hold its place.Might be fine for basic lightweight use but even the frame's uprights has considerable twisting wobble so I wouldn't trust it under medium or angled force especially with the extra weight of a drill attached to the top of the spindle which would only serve to cause further issues. Not worth the full money, not worth the £20 off offer price I got it for. A £9 plastic framed thing I got off ebay was considerably better in the chuck spindle area with a nice chuck and two quality tight bearings with no movement at all (the plastic frame of the ebay one though leaves something to be desired!)

It works but see notes below
I liked this tool - used with a DeWalt cordless for making 120 holes in a piece of 18mm ply that need to be square. It did seem to need a bit of lubrication (certainly would advise that to make it last.It was a little wobbly and not perfectly square (c.f. a proper drill press). It does have numerous options for drill angles and drilling square and centrally into tubes and battens.Overall it is well worth the money and a great addition to the tool box. I would just like it to be a bit more solid.
