Why did I not get my pre order?

I've returned every accessory I ordered along with my camera because there is absolutely no indication of when it will be delivered. If I don't get it for 3 months, how will I know if the accessories are functional? I risk missing the return window for everything, so it's all going back. Amazon can flip the bill for costs to return all this stuff. Good job Sony. Good job Amazon.

It seems the fx30 with the xlr handle has a delivery date- but the base model does not- i pre-ordered with an oct 24th date advertised- please update

Because Sony doesn’t care about their customers who took the initiative to preorder their product. If you look through the Q&A, a Sony rep told me 10/28 for shipping. Today is 10/29, still no update. Pretty lousy conduct on Sony’s part. Even a ballpark estimate date range would be nice.

For this being their “gateway drug” into their Cinema Line, Sony could not care less about their future customers. They font even offer a date range for those who preordered this product—and you preordered 2 weeks before I did—what pitiful conduct for a company trying to reel in a new generation of filmmakers with a product that sits “pending” and unobtainable in the checkout cart with no clear word on when it will leave this limbo… it’s not like certain people require these devices for their businesses or anything…. Shameful conduct Sony. Not to mention in this Q&A section a rep told me 10/28… NOPE.

Is the October 24 release date accurate?

Would be nice if those who took the initiative to pre-order were at least given an estimated shipping date, even if it were a ballpark—that would be better than nothing happening with an ordered device just sitting in the cart.
