They are on elastic which fits over the shoulders. They stay on really well. Only down side is the feathers come out. But I would recommend them

Q: What age is this suitable for? Can my 5 month old wear this for a photoshoot?

It would likely be far too large for an infant— these wings were lovely but even a bit large for my 4 year old for a nativity play. They would likely look absurdly oversized on a baby.

Hun don't bother I bought 3 sets for a photo shoot. I open all 3 sets and before I'd finished unwrapping the feathers fell off . I was just left with cardboard, I couldn't even use them once, unless you are will to re glue them all back on x
