A Walk in London

We wanted our kids to learn a bit more about London before our trip, and this book is well written and beautifully illustrated. It even has a fun fold-out map! It says for younger ages, but it is a great for older kids as well.

Great book to read to children to educate them about places in London! If children are little, you can just read the large print which is in story format. If children are older, you can read all or choose to read some of the small print in addition to the large print. (Small print has lots of facts to learn about London)

This is a WONDERFUL book, an absolute must if you plan on visiting London with your child. It has a lot of interesting facts in it, that both adult and child can enjoy. Super illustrations too! My 7 year old daughter and I read the book together before going on a trip to London, and we also took the book with us. My daughter had a great time reading the book at night while we were there and enjoyed spotting all the sights mentioned in the book. It really sparked off her interest in seeing the sights and learning about them.

My grandchildren and I did a virtual trip based on the book "How to Make an Apple Pie and See the World". In the book they travel to England so of course I planned activities to talk all about the UK but especially London. This book along with "All Aboard the London Bus" were great additions to the narrative! So now when we talk about London they have all kinds of things to say about it! Quite readable and understandable for a three and five year old that are curious about their world around them. Bravo!

This is a gem! We just visited London and wanted to share the experience of what it was like for our children who didn't come along. Rubbino's book was a perfect way for us to accomplish this and a springboard for conversations! He really captured what it was like walking around London in an artful and informative way. We even purchased this book for our niece and nephew. For teachers, this would be ideal for a read aloud!

LOVE. I love books teaching about places around the world, I own this and the A Walk in Paris. Must haves! They give lots of little details on every page about daily life in those places.

I bought this for my 5-year-old niece, whom I'm planning to take to England in a couple of years, all things being good. She listened raptly while I read it to her, breaking in occasionally to point out things she recognized from photos. She also enjoyed spotting the fancy car's appearances in the pages. The illustrations are charming, and the four-page fold-out of the River Thames is rather spectacular. The interesting facts are probably geared to somewhat older children, but I'm sure this book will have a few more outings over the next few years.

Histoire d'une petite fille qui visite Londres avec sa maman. L'histoire est bien et retrace bien tous les lieux typiques de Londres. Personnellement, j'aime moins les illustrations, mais mon fils a beaucoup aimé !

Such a lovely book, brilliant pictures and very informative for children and adults!

Received book on July 1st, well before Estimated schedule. Book arrived in pristine condition, no scratches or bends. I and my son both were overjoyed to receive it!
