Cheap, Cheerful Illumination.
Seemed to be nice and bright and cast light down over a reasonable radius. I can hang this from a tent hook, turn on full power, and see to read my rather ancient Kindle. The slightly domed diffuser seems to reduce a little of the harsh LED glare given off by some of these smaller battery lanternsNot sure how the batteries will last (3xAAA not supplied). It may have been my eyes but I think it was getting a bit dimmer after around 3 hours use, but next evening the same batteries kept going.Only slight confusion is the battery fitting. There is a holder which pulls out of the lamp, this holder acting as if it were a single larger battery, and which has a simple + - ended sticker. That's fine to tell you which way to mount the holder in the lamp. The holder has three slots, each receive an AAA battery. But these slots aren't marked + - (at least that I could see) and it was a bit of guesswork to decide which way round the batteries should fit (not all the same way)

Lovely Light
This is a lovely little light that is very light too. I got this to hang in my hard top gazebo and its brilliant. It looks neat and well made and its very easy to replace batteries too. It has three settings, dim, medium and very bright so ideal for all you need. For ease of turning on and off I have put mine on a pulley so that I can have it low enough to get to the switch. It looks really neat and can be used anywhere. I recommend this to everyone. Ideal for camping or for a shed etc.

Adequate build quality, bright and energy efficient but no low voltage cutoff.
Three power levels; 60 leds, 17 leds or 5 leds. At full power bright enough to discriminate subtle colour variations in plants and soil in pitch darkness, over an area of 20ft, when hung at a height of 16ft. (I put it in the apple tree when doing gardening at night.) For activity not requiring good colour, would cover same area at medium power. Lowest power bright enough for detailed work when held a two feet away, and fine for walking around at shoulder height even on low setting.Clip works on poles up to about 10mm and switch is easy to find without looking.Runs for a few hours on an 18650 2.5 Ah battery at full power (would probably go longer, but Lithium batteries shouldn't be discharged too low). Should go for at least 24hrs on lowest power.Construction quality reasonable given price. Mainly plastic. Dissasembly by twisting off transparent cover revealed sensible if basic circuit design, and soldering work which while not amazing, was adequate considering price point (i.e., pretty good for a sweatshop type worker).Only complaint so far is that it doesn't seem to have a low voltage cutout, so it carries on working after the battery is discharged well below a sensible voltage (battery will wear out quicker if deeply discharged repeatedly).

Love it
I bought this light for festival use, the picture shown is on the lowest setting (of three) and it gives off enough light to nicely light the inside of the tent. The seating area of the tent is 10 x 10 foot minus the bedroom area. My girlfriend mentioned that any setting higher she thought it was too bright, where by that it was too bright to sit under comfortably. Id say if you like the brightness its not a problem but for me the first setting is just bright enough. Knowing i can brighten it though is great incase you need to look for something. The two way S clip is an easy and handy way to clip it to any eyelet you have available. Ill be using this everytime i go camping. Great price and great item.

Simple camping light
It’s very simple and I’m not sure it’s genuine. Packaging very dubious and lots of spelling errors. (See photo). No instructions and it certainly doesn’t do anything other than hang. No changing angel of light and it is actually tiny . I have put batteries in and it is very bright and does the job. I am normally a John Lewis girl so it may just be me being a snob!

Much better than expected
After reading mixed reviews I wasn't sure what I would get. Fortunately the lamp was far better than I could have expected especially at the priice. The lamp gives out adequate lighting which sn't overpowering at minimum level. At the medium setting it gives plenty of light for reading and at maximum it can illuminate the main area and the prch area of our Vango Edoras 400 tent. It looks flimsy and isn't the thickest of plastic but it is more than robust enough to hang in the tent. With normal handling it will last a long time but if dropped onto a hard surface it may crack.I marked the battery level down as the battery I used lasted four nights of about 3 hours usage each night but gave up after 30 minutes or so on the fourth night. You will definitely need very high capacity batteries to get more than a few hours from a single charge. I bought a battery labelled 1600 mah but I suspect it could be less. I suspect the LED's are being driven close to their maximum current rating which would explain the short use of an admitedly low capacity battery. 3000 mah batteries would last much longer.

Great size and great brightness
This product is really great. A good size (Not huge but not tiny) and the 3 settings are a bonus. I hate having super bright lights on getting ready to sleep so having the dimmed option was great for me when I was camping. Its super easy to use and has a handy little buckle to attack it to the central pole of my tent. I cant comment on tge battery life of this as it will vary depending on how much or little you use it. As i have only had it camping for 1 weekend and not used it a great deal, the battery didn't run out. 100% would recommend and buy again.

Fantastic and Versitile
I bought one of these lights, planning on just putting in some AAA's and using it in my shed, but I have since bought another 3, they happily take rechargeable 18650 batteries and are bright enough to even be used as basic tier filming or photography light, the light is even between the 4 I now own and overall just a fantastic quality product in that regard. The build quality does leave a little to be desired, cheap plastics, etc but that is to be expected for the price, it feels like the entire budget went into the light quality itself.
