Spacious, Fast, and Easy to Use
This Seagate Expansion 4TB external hard drive is exactly what I needed for backing up my files and media. Setup is plug-and-play—no complicated software required—and USB 3.0 speeds make transferring large files fast and hassle-free. The drive is compact, portable, and solidly built, making it easy to store or take on the go. With 4TB of space, it comfortably handles my growing collection of photos, videos, and documents. Overall, a reliable, high-capacity storage solution that’s good value for money and highly recommended.

Perfect for PS4 storage, internally AND externally!
Complete and utter satisfaction. That's honestly all I need to say in regards to this, especially if you're thinking about using it to upgrade your PS4 storage. With a bit of jiggery-pokery, you can use this to get your 500GB up to a much better 2TB (well, technically 1.7 TB but that's still a load more!) easily and cost efficiently! And it gets even easier for external storage! There's plenty of video guides online on how to upgrade the PS4 using this Seagate drive but I'll give you a quick guide; For external memory, simply plug it into one of the front USB ports of the PS4, go to 'devices', select 'USB storage devices', choose the Seagate, format, BOOM! You can now upload your games and apps straight to the 2TB harddrive via USB! Internally, make sure you've synced your trophies to PSN, and backed up all your saved data, captures, saved data, and (optionally) your applications to a USB drive beforehand. Also, you're going to need to have the current PS4 system update file handy on another USB drive to incorporate into the system later (fortunately, I had a spare 500GB external harddrive so I used that successfully for both backup and update file). Once it's all backed up, you'll then need to prise open the casing of the Seagate, take the 2TB drive out of it, and replace the 500GB with the 2TB. You will need a screwdriver for some screws here and there but they're not too big an issue. Just make sure you keep them safe when you've unscrewed them. Once the 2TB drive is nice and secure in the PS4, plug it back in, hold down the power button for 7 seconds, and enter rest mode. Here, you're going to initialise the PS4 and install the software file on the USB. Once that's completed, restore your save files and clips, start redownloading any games and applications you want to play, and you're good to go! As I say, there's a vast amount of videos on YouTube that can guide you through the process easily so don't worry! You'll get it done! Admittedly, upgrading internally is the longer and slightly more complicated option. But in my opinion, it's much more worth it. This way, you don't have to worry about USB port priorities (headphone users, extra controller users, etc.) and you can also use the 500GB drive as a spare external harddrive once you've swapped them (plenty of guides for that, too)! It really isn't all that difficult to do. It's just a bit time consuming. But honestly, in the long-term, it's so much better. All in all, the Seagate Expansion 2TB harddrive is a must-have if you're thinking about upgrading your PS4. I've read some reviews saying it doesn't work or it won't fit. Honestly, I had no problems at all with this, and hopefully never will! Happy gaming!

Great little drive
I bought this drive to try and help salvage my ailing iMac (which in itself is a rare thing). The internal drive has started to fail, and I needed to get stuff off quickly. I used this drive to actually run the Mac OS on, based on a 1.1TB time machine imagine that I had taken a few days before. I have to say, I am pretty impressed The drive itself comes well packaged in a neat box, with only the required amount of materials (no wastage here). Inside the packaging is the drive itself, which has a nice look and feel to it, and a proprietary USB cable that provides both power and data transfer in 1. Keep this safe, its an unusual cable so not sure how easy it would be to replace. I connected the drive, and set about formatting it to the right volume type to be a bootable MAC HD. Formatting was done quickly and I was away - able to install the OS onto the drive from a time machine backup, and have been running off it since. The drive itself is not silent, but neither is it noisy - you know its working by the blinking blue light on the top of the drive - but that's about it. I plan to velcro it to the back of my Mac so that its up and out of the way Size wise its about 25% bigger than a deck of cards, but also about 25% slimmer. The drive gets warm through use, but not hot and nothing to worry about. Read and Write speeds seem pretty good, and i am able to make use of nearly all of the 2TB of storage. I plan to use the drive for extra storage on my Xbox One once I have finished using it to run the Mac OS. Really pleased, and would recommend a good drive at a great price.

Pleasantly Surprised
2Tb Version I am old so my idea of an external harddrive is a clunky great thing with it's own power source that can be a tad temperamental. That said I have 2 Seagate drives (500Gb and 1Tb) that must be at least 7 years old and still work (when I can find their power cords) and a Western Digital that is even older and still going strong but is larger and heavier than a house brick. So, receiving this one was a shock to the system. USB 3.0 powered and not much bigger than the drive disc itself. No external power cord, just one moderate length cable and plug and play operation. The case itself has a "diamond" design on the front and back surfaces but as it is just going to be living on a shelf I'm not too bothered about the aesthetics of the unit. I'm also not too sure about how well it will stand up to portability, drives are delicate things and easily damaged and it just doesn't feel sufficiently sturdy. However, I won't be taking this one anywhere so works for me. I have to admit I wasn't too sure whether this unit would have survived transit too well. It comes in a cardboard box and is housed in a plastic carton within. This was then in an outer Amazon box with a couple of the air bag fillers in and a large crumple zone at the bottom of the box. However, the plastic carton seems to have protected it from shocks as it worked as soon as plugged in to my PS4. Formatting was a sinch and I have already downloaded a couple of games on to it - better than the constant deleting and juggling around I was having to do. So far, so good but we'll wait and see if it is as durable as my old behemoths

Good external drive
Good solid product that can last over the year assuming one doesn't throw it down when in use.

Great price, easy to transport, even easier to use
I have been using an old 1TB drive for a few years now and felt it was time to upgrade. I could not believe how cheap this 2TB drive was and thought it must be cheaply made, I was very much mistaken. The drive is fantastic it comes with its own software on it but i never had to install anything, I simple plugged it in with the usb cable that came with it and boom it was straight there on my This PC page. I transferred over alot of material from the old TB and the speed it did it was great even tho my pc doesnt have usb 3 capability. I can only imagine how fast it would be at usb 3 speeds. Also the drive looks amazing, sleek and shiny black with a nice cube pattern on the top. The size is at least four times smaller than my old TB and this holds twice as much data. The usb cable isnt mega long which was no problem for me as i have the drive sitting on top of my tower so i have ample extra lead. The size makes it great for transporting and since it doesnt need to be charged as it gets its power from the PC you dont have to carry a plug charger around with you if you want to bring movies or data to another location. I have had no faults or any complaints with this product and maybe even buy a 4GB drive if I ever fill this one up. The drive also worked instantly didnt need time to charge up i just plugged it in and the blue light came on and i was good to go. All in all a great buy and at such a great price, well worth it

Small, silent, huge storage, USB powered - amazing drives for maid data storage and backups
Wow! So much capacity in such a small device. I bought three off these beauties, one for my main data storage and two for backups. One backup stays next to the computer while the other one travels with me wherever I go, they are small enough to put in your pocket. I use the Mudder Hard Drive Bag Carry Case for Seagate Expansion and Backup, and WD My Passport Ultra (Old Model) 2.5 Inch Portable External Device to keep mine safe when out and about. Four Terabytes is enormous! I have partitioned them up so I can back up my wife's Macbook as well. I use the terrific SuperDuper application to create bootable clones of our Macs and these drives copy and boot without problems, just use Disk Utilities to format them to Mac Journalled and they are good to go. I have had no speed issues with using one of these as my main data storage and the cost saving over buying my Macbook with a measly 1tb SDD is huge - and these drives hold 4tb, wow! I can play HD video from them without problems, edit video using Final Cut Pro, everything works perfectly. Of course they are not as fast as an SDD but they are fast enough, I have noticed no speed problems with data transfer or running any applications They are silent in operation and did I mention the storage? Yep, 4tb, that is amazing!

A 2TB drive all to yourself. Seagate Affordable drives
It doesn't get any simpler than this. As its a 2tb drive windows finds it without any bother, so it really is just plug it in and away you go. On the drive is included files for I presume, installing the drive on machines that don't recognise the 2tb, although it doesn't say anything about what they are for. I should say that I am one of those people that don't read instructions unless absolutely necessary, in this case they are not needed, I expect it probably does mention in them what the file on the drive are for, but I didn't need them, I have however kept them for possible future use, and this is what I would recommend you do too. The drive is connected via the USB port and it is USB3 that is also backward compatible for USB2 use. Fast file transfer on USB3 but a little slower on USB2, but still acceptable. A nice compact unit that makes it easy to pop into you pocket and take it with you. It will work on laptops, desktops and other game consoles that are listed in the description. The only down side I can see is that by the looks of it, you cant remove it from its case without breaking it open. I included that just in case you wanted to swop it for the drive in your laptop and still use the case. I would suggest that care is taken with the USB connector lead as it will be a weak point that could give problems. A good drive that as long as you don't drop it or misuse it, it should give you good long service.

Alles in allem 5*

Funciona
Super recomendo.
