Pleased
I took a while before ordering to look at various pros/cons of the range of models available and my needs, budget etc. I even measured up to see that it would fit inbetween the base of my computer trolley. But what I didn't do (and should have!) was factored in that once my office style chair was included into the equation, that the chair front leg and wheel would make the depth of this footrest initially not work so well for my style of computer trolley, which has a low bottom shelf just above floor level...but this was easily resolved by removing this bottom computer trolley shelf so that now, I have excellent full range foot support with this footrest. I find it comfortable and combined with a good chair, and the mousepad/wrist rest I bought at the same time, am already finding that my posture whilst sitting for prolonged periods at my computer is very much improved, with noticeably less foot/back/shoulder/arm/wrist ache etc. If you are buying this to fit under a desk, you shouldn't have the problem re depth that I had re my particular computer trolley. But if you are buying it to fit under a computer trolley, you might want to be a bit more careful re depth than I originally was/check that if needs be, your bottom computer trolley shelf can be quickly removed and that you don't rely on it for what could be missed storage space! I am very pleased with it indeed: just thought I'd point this feature out incase others found it useful in their decision making.

Sturdy, durable, good quality but not as comfortable as I would've thought
Objectively speaking this foot rest is strong, fairly sturdy and well built in general. It has good height adjustment and the legs/stumps stop it from sliding all over the place. The surface tilts allowing you to gently rock and exercise your ankles. Kensington claim this will invigorate your ankles and legs, and to some extent it does especially if you've been sitting down for some while. The surface area has bumps that are suppose to help massage your feet. I personally found this to be slightly uncomfortable, however I am usually wearing shoes or slippers when uses this so it's not really a big deal for me. The foot rest is very good quality overall, it is quite solid, durable and does a good job. I bought this on sale for £16 which I think is a very good price. I don't think I would've bought it for its normal price of £31 which is practically double the price. At that price the Amazon Basic foot rest (normally £14) would be a better option. Hope this helps.

A must buy, does wonders for comfort at tremendous value.
Not much to say, what you see is what you get. I have a great adjustable chair but something just didn't feel right having my feet flat on the ground. This footrest is a super bargain for the comfort it adds to your desk time. It basically has 3 adjustable settings. You can remove the piece that adjusts the height for lowest setting or you can move it to the back slow for amid setting. I alternatae between mid setting and removing the piece depending on how I'm tilting my chair. The only gripes I have but is that it's obviously made for footwear. I don't wear shoes indoors (I use this at home) because why on earth would you walk around wihtt your dirty shoes indoors.. I never understood that about UK / Ire :) So I kind of have to wear slippers which I don't normally wear but it's alright with just socks. Just not super comfortable. Also, the piece you remove to get lowest setting isn't exactly small so when you remove it's a bit of clutter. Anyhow I still give it 5/5 because I wasalready aware that it was meant for footwear and I think there's a version that is smooth with textile that cost more. As for durability, time will tell but who cares? It costs peanuts. I imagine as long as you don't kick it it'll last for years. I recommend this to ANYONE who sits at a desk frequently or infrequently. It's simply too cheap and great of a product to NOT purchase. In fact, I just had an idea. Found an old big textile mousepad that I taped onto it and voila. Comfort for you people in nations who don't wear shoes indoors :)

Kick your heels with your solemate
I have found this to be a godsend being able to adjust the height means that i can sit at my home built odd height desk very comfortably with my feet supported. There was a little self assembly required but was a matter of moments. the height setting guide works really well and unlike some others i have had no issue with the height dropping. I tend to keep the swivel on as i like the ability to rock my feet from time to time. but i did use it locked for a week and experianced no issue with it unlocking. When i decided to unlock it i just knocked the catch with my heel and hey presto done. it is sturdy and does not feel like it will fall apart in five minutes unlike some other feet rest. the "nobbly" foot pad feels nice under my socks. this is quite a wide device but as i am of the larger persuasion i tend to have my feet slightly further apart and have no issues with it. all in all a very good purchase that i would recommend to anyone

Cheap and cheerful, now in the bin.
This footrest was purchased for its price and ease of use. It served me well for 20 months until one of the feet fell off. Not sue I'd buy the same again.

Brilliant for my back problem!
I damaged my back rather badly and, as a result, sitting at my computer became incredibly painful and likely to make my back worse, according to my physiotherapist, who is very clever. I'm self-employed and need to spend time working at my desk, so needed to minimise the risk of my discs popping out of my spine again. I already had a comfortable chair, but realised that my spine went into a stupid position because I couldn't get my feet flat on the floor, and using a box to rest them on made my knees higher than my hips, which is apparently a bad thing. I thought this foot rest was worth a shot, and I've been delighted with it! It is incredibly sturdy, easy to move when you want it to move, but won't suddenly skid about as you're using it. The gentle incline means that depending on how close I need to be to the desk, and what shape my back is in, I can put my feet at any position and still maintain a 'neutral spine'. Apparently that's what I need. I've been delighted with this foot rest. I am sure we will continue to be very happy together. :-)

A pain to adjust but good otherwise
As others have commented, it is very difficult to adjust. As I need the green setting, I had to work it up side by side as if you move one side, the other side becomes impossible to move. I A also found I did have to use quite a lot of force! It's not that clear from the instructions how much you have to screw the knobs on the sides to fix the setting. Turning them clockwise alone doesn't really do much, I recommend holding the bolt from the other side to ensure they screw in tightly and the setting is locked. The tilt function works well though and is easy to adjust. Once all set up, it's sturdy and comfortable on the feet. I'm mainly wearing socks and the surface doesn't hurt my feet even after a long day. I would recommend but be prepared for a frustrating set up!

Simple but effective
Bought one of these as I was (like a lot of people at the moment) working from home using my dining table as a desk and found that my feet were too far off the ground once I had adjusted my chair for the height of the table (probably made worse by me being 5'6"). I had been using a box to put my feet on but this was not ideal as it was uncomfortable and slid about all over the place on my wood floor. So I ordered this as a cheap option to see if it was better and I have to say that it's made a huge difference to my comfort levels already. OK, so this is very simple to assemble and only has limited options in terms of angles for use, but it seems perfect to me and the rubber feet keep it nicely secure on my wood floor. Works for me, didn't cost a fortune and no complaints so it's 5 stars from me.
