SockShopMen's Comfort Cuff Socks -Striped and Plain Soft Breathable & Cooling Bamboo Material Multipack of 3 Pairs

I have had my left knee replaced because of osteoarthritis and my right one suffers from it. As result bending is difficult. What is so good about these socks is that they soft at the ankle so they just slide on without any unneccessary pulling. Aldo because of their softness, they don't leave red marks at the ankles. This is my second set. Incidentally, they seem quite durable to me because I don't cut my toenails very often -I can't bend to do it and have to pay chiropodist.

Bamboo socks! I was intrigued and needing some socks ordered them. They look and feel smooth and light but being sized as 7 -11, I'm 9, they do feel a bit big on but are very comfortable. The socks, it transpires, are made from viscose extracted from bamboo so it's a bit of a merchandising ploy to say they are "bamboo socks" after all other socks made from viscose could probably say "chestnut" or "cedar" or " peanut oil" or whatever source, natural or artificial, was used.They have now been worn were comfortable and have been washed and seem to have reduced (I hesitate to say shrunk as it has negative connotations) a very little so the fit feels a little more secure. I don't think I would buy these again unless the manufacturer introduced individual sizes so 9 for 9 or 7 for 7 rather than one size fits 5 as they are presently. For the price paid (not cheap) I expect a better fit so back to M&S in future

Socks are very comfortable to wear and not tight on my calf as the other set of Bamboo socks I received were.The only reason I've not given 5 stars is because the product description differs from the packaging of these socks. The packaging states:Size 12 - 14Material 64% Viscose/Bamboo, 34% Polyester, 2% Elastane.These figures do not correspond to the product description on Amazon.

A lot of people buy bamboo socks for environmental reasons. I find this band to be very comfortable and long-lasting, so purchased these for my husband. Unfortunately they're not as 'green' as I originally thought, containing 22% polyester which I think will still shed plastic micro-fibres, plus they're packaged with a plastic hook, in a plastic bag, inside a plastic envelope - which rather undermines their eco credentials.

Just ordered my second pack of these very comfortable socks.I’ve been wearing regular bamboo socks for the past year or so because they breathe and have very comfortable seams, but I have thick calves and they are very tight on me, so much that after a day’s wear you can see a marked indentation on my legs above the ankle.These Gentle Grip socks however have openings which are slightly wider than the tube of the sock and this makes them easy to put on and very comfortable to wear - no more indentations in the flesh! However because of this I suspect men with thinner legs may find that they fall down.Nor have I had any problems with them wearing through, as other reviewers have complained. OK, they do lose their grip after a few months but for less than the price of a cup of coffee per pair...

this is the first pair of bamboo socks that ACTUALLY fit - all the others i've bought ( from other suppliers ) did not fit comfortably - i offered to return them to the suppliers ( without replacement ) but they were not interested and not just because they did not fit - too tight around the leg and holes in the toes after a few uses - but these, so far, have been perfect, nice colour, fit and comfort - thanksit would be nice if all the socks had an id inside ( to match pairs ) - either a colour or a letter or a number - the socks do differ a bit occaisionally -

I bought this as a gift. I hoped it would come in time for a birthday and it came super quick so I'm in time for giving. The packaging looks so special. It's the perfect eco friendly quality gift. Happy customer. The socks feel very soft. Lovely colours. Lovely presentation.

So these socks are great. They feel really soft and comfy, hard wearing and fabulous colours and style however the major thing that is such a shame is why does it have to have such a weak elastic band. They are so lose that they have no staying power on your leg and just crumple down the bottom of your foot in a wrinkled mess. I have had to sew a bit of velcro to some elastic to make a leg belt on both legs so as to keep them up. This may sound daft but they are so great in every other way that I have just had to improvise.
