Beechfield Unisex Beechfield Merino Beanie Beret

This beanie is a slimline design, with plenty of stretch to be comfortable on a wide range of sizes. Although the merino jersey-knit is thin, wool is always excellent for warmth, and the quality of the sewing is good. I like the simplicity of the deign, with a horizontal headband attached to a seamless tube, which curves in over the head, with a slightly slouchy fit. I also like the mid-blue colour, which had the bonus of a price reduction at time of purchase - the hat is good value. The beanie would be perfect under a helmet, but is also OK on its own. It also would work well as a sleep-hat, for chillier nights.

This was much better than I expected and absolutely perfect for my intended use. I wanted a thin hat which could be worn under a crash helmet or waterproof hat in colder weather. The quality is great and it feels nice to wear. However I would not use it as a stand alone hat in very cold weather, but think it would be ideal to keep off the chill in the Spring or Autumn. It is very lightweight and very thin which is worth keeping in mind if you are looking for a hat for cold weather, but for my use it is perfect and I am very pleased.

The quality of the had is good and the material is really comfy to wear. It is warm but a little bit on the thin side so not sure how it will cope with keeping any wind out. It is however very breathable because of this so keeps your head from overheating. The fit is slightly big, I personally would have liked it to fit tight so I could use it under a bike helmet too.

Kind of large. Slides down my forehead all the way down to my eyes. But thin and easy to bring in days you're not sure if you want a cap or a wooly hat. Good for travelling. Love the color. But wish they had it in different sized as this one is too big for me

I like Merino wool products and this is no exception. Hats don’t really suit me (especially at my age) but this will be perfect under my cycle helmet during the eleven cooler months of the year! It seems a good buy at this price point and fits comfortably. I also like the blue colour and simple style of this beanie but most of all, I like to believe it will keep my head at the right temperature. I’m optimistic in this respect.

absolutely best beanie I've ever bought - warm light folds away so small into your E D C - I'm also suffering from hair loss at the moment due to meds, this hat I can be confident in as I know it's not going to blow off in the wind as it gently hugs my head as I have buzz fluff... as a woman with this issue I feel comfortable at last with such a lovely item. I should say also that I can wear this in the house when the heating is on and not overheat... it's that light.. but don't be fooled when you go outside.. it does s still keep you warm. As it sits so snug to your head I imagine if you had to wear a safety hat for work at sites or helmet for bikes this would definitely go under the crash hat/helmet

Vorneweg: für eine arktische Mission wäre sie als alleinige Mütze vermutlich nicht geeignet… Für mich ist sie die immer-dabei-Mütze in meiner Jackentasche. Dabei kommt ihr ihr Form Faktor zugute, denn sie ist sehr dünn und lässt sich dadurch gut verstauen. Für mich ein echter Pluspunkt. Ich hab auch so schon ziemlich voll gestopfte Taschen mit Handschuhen Schal etc. Bislang war sie auch immer ausreichend warm und hält auch etwas Wind ab. Natürlich ist so ein dünner Stoff nicht absolut winddicht. Doch manchmal ist das. ganz angenehm, wenn bei einem längeren Spaziergang auch einmal der Kopf ein wenig ins dampfen kommt... Zudem habe ich sie auch bei meinen winterlichen Ausfahrten auf dem Fahrrad unter dem Helm auf. Habe mir schon eine zweite bestellt, also Kaufempfehlung.
