Very nice Advance hive and my bees love it
This is a really nice hive comes with everything except the wax sheets it does have frames that snap together really easy to use came with twin feeders. Has six different entrances that you can control. Will accept standard wooden frames. Built-in Mite & Beetle catcher. The whole thing locks together so it's easily movable. It is heavily insulated to help protect against the winter and nicely ventilated. Really can't find anything bad to say about this and the most important thing is that the bees have no problem with it. If you registered on their site they will give you $10 off your next order which I did and bought a super for it. This can be used to split nuc or as to beehive. It holds seven frames and they do make a ten frame. Very advanced yet simple-to-use.UPDATE MARCH 2019: i had 3 hives , the 2 wooden hives did not make it through winter, the Apimaye did, and are really strong, enough bees to easily make a split already. i will probably sell off my wooden hives and upgrade to all Apimaye hives. it sucks losing bees @ $120 for 3lb package or $170 for 5 frame nuke, plus the cost of the hive, feed, ect. the Apimaye may appear to cost more, but come spring, you may find this not to be true. like i aways say "the experience is remembered long after the price is forgotten"

Apimaye Hives are the BEST!
Love Apimaye USA! I have successfully overwintered my honeybees in these Apimaye USA 7 frame NUC hives over the past 5 years. Highly recommend Apimaye here on Amazon!

Worth the money
I run around a 100 hives. I purchased this as a return, so saved about $30. The feeder was at first difficult to get the lid on (bet that’s why they returned it). Once I was able to secure the lid, it was fine. Apimaye makes a solid product. I’m trying to overwinter Nucs, so am hoping this works. The hive is insulated, think it’s around 7 -R value. I have several of the full sized apimaye and the Queen defender. Think this one is my favorite to work with.

great little hive/nuc - i would recommend it
so far, no complaints... see how it goes through winter. used it to establish an early package (Russian) - the bees did great... also used it for making splits - Russian bees took to it easily and built right up. my Italian bees are having trouble though; but, I seem to have the least amount of luck with Italians anyway.

You can control the size of the Nuc
We have been bee keepers for 2 years. My wife has always Loved bees and she joined a local bee club and currently we have 2 active hives. We are not professional beekeepers but we have spent a considerable amount of time learning all we can from the club and mentors there. Also, there is a wealth on knowledge on YouTube videos. That is where I found out about these hives. We Love our bees and want to provide the best environment we can for them and this review is a reflection of our experience.Apimaye offers a bottom tray and this was my first purchase, it fits perfectly on the Langstroth hives. It is a must addition in my opinion. It has almost single handily solved our hive beetle issues which were really bad this year in Florida. The reason we purchased the Nuc is because we occasionally go and catch wild swarms. It is always an issue on the size of the swarm (hive is usually to large for the swarm) and feeding them is not easy. Not to mention hive beetles and other pests. This Nuc solved them all, I have found dozens of beetle and many moths in the tray - this really helps the hive concentrate on building and growing the hive instead of focusing on pests. It really amazes me how many beetles we find, when we do hive inspections it is rare to find any beetles now. It is also very easy to feed with this hive. The Biggest reason I chose the Nuc though is because you can control how large it is with the divider bar - to much real estate for bees is not a good thing, we had a hive beetle infestation on one hive because the bees could not defend it. This hive solves that problem because you can control how large the hive is and also control the hive opening size with a slide bar in about 5 seconds. Our last swarm we caught is thriving in the hive and they will need to be moved soon into a larger hive box.We have several Langstroth hives so I have not purchased the Ergo hive yet but if I was needing a new hive I would purchase the Ergo. One really nice feature is the latches on the hive make for easy transport and you also know the hives are secure.I highly recommend this Nuc and I highly recommend the bottom tray.

Best Beehive on the Market Today PERIOD!
I have been a beekeepers for 6 years now & it's a constant battle between The Small Hive Beetle & Varro Mites in that order where I have my apiary! This is THE ONLY beehive the market today that address both these issues as well as a top feeder & is insulated! I have lost hives year in & year out to small hive beetles, varro mite & cold winters! NOT WITH THIS HIVE! IT IS FANTASTIC & I can not say enough good about it. I have the results & proof posted on You Tube at Harv's Natural Honey if you want to see what I am talking about. This is the best designed honey bee hive on the market today & if you want your bees to survive & not have them die as they most likely will in a traditional Langstroth or a Warre beehive & I have tried them both, then get this hive or spend money each spring buying more bees! Simply put the choice is yours. Bees will thrive in this hive. I have proof on You Tube! They will most likely perish in a traditional Langstoth or Warre unless you want to pump the chemicals to them & I do not want chemical tainted honey.... Good luck with your beekeeping & keep fighting the battle, our bees are depending on it!
