I love it, highly recommend

Exhausting to read, full of hyperbole, flowery language with relentless strings of verbs and adjectives. It reads like an advertisement for a spiritual retreat - a loooot of words without actually saying much. Similes left, right and centre. If feels like the book never settles into a cohesive, well-paced narrative - it’s a constant high-speed stream of what could be bumper stickers and hypnotising self-help slogans for people new to self-help.

This IS NOT A ‘King, Warrior, Magician, Lover’ book written for the ‘rediscovering the archetype’ from a Jungian perspective. It is a non- self reflective work we have come very closely to associate with modern ‘feminism’ and new age message that doesn’t force one to look at the shadow and its pitfalls.

I love this book! I have used it for myself as well as in group and 1:1 coaching to create a reference to the strengths that we all have within us. It is well written and the practices and meditations are a great way to start using what is taught. I highly recommend!

Excellent read! Very helpful for women of all ages

Great read

Mara has an amazing ability to speak from spirit. She articulates the many layers of this feminine experience with beautiful poetry and wise words. The book is complete with practices to embody and shed, pages that I have been marked to return to again and again. Highly recommended to all and would suggest paperback so you can fold the corners and break the spine to come back to these chapters as needed.
