Fan-freaking-tastic!!!
This! This. Is. A. Game. Changer!!! It's soooo easy to use! It works incredibly well, is gentle, removes makeup and sunscreen, doesn't break me out, and doesn't leave me oily. That's saying a ton for an oil cleanser! I use this on dry skin, gently and patiently massage it into my skin, wet my hands slightly and massage to emulsify, and then rinse. I follow it up with a gentle foaming cleanser (per the Korean double cleanse method), and boom! Fresh, clean, soft skin!!! The entire process takes maybe two or three minutes on a heavy eye makeup kind of day. Be prepared for a slight film to get in your eyes when removing eye makeup, but that's how it works with ANY oil cleanser. I prefer the solid/sherbert cleanser much more than the liquid oil cleansers. It's much less messy. As for the eye film, not to gross anyone out, but all you have to do is close your eyes and roll them around for a few seconds, then blink a few times. You will basically end up with black (my mascara color) little gunk balls in the inner corner of your eyes, which you then just wipe away. Easy breezy! Most of the time, I will wake up with a bit more of it in the inner corners in the mornings, but again, easy fix. It doesn't sting and hurt my eyes in ANY way, I swear! I ADORE this product and I don't think I'll ever go back to a single cleansing system again.

Wonderful Daily Cleanser & Makeup Remover
To start, I have dry, sensitive skin. I tend only to breakout if I use overly harsh products on my skin. When I was looking into buying this product, I saw a lot of people only referring to this as a makeup remover. This is a cleanser and can be used for both makeup removal and daily cleansing. It's really up to you whether you want or need to pair this with an additional foaming cleanser. My skin type and makeup habits (5 days a week, rarely very heavy) makes this perfect as a singular product for both cleansing & makeup removal. As a makeup remover, this removes even my toughest waterproof & long-wearing products. It removes my Heroine curling mascara easily & gently - a product that I used to have to scrub off with some other makeup removers. It tackles long-wearing lipsticks & stains well too.As a cleanser, it's so moisturizing and feels great. The process I use is massaging a small amount onto my dry face (loosening makeup, if I'm wearing it), then slowly emulsifying the balm with lukewarm water until all the balm is fully broken down and the makeup is washed away. What I'd most like to rave about with the Banila Co. cleansing balm is how moisturizing it is. I stopped getting dry patches, I've been able to use less moisturizer, and, perhaps most miraculously, when I wake up in the morning my skin feels soft, smooth, and well moisturized. I don't think that last bit's been true since I was a teenager.I can't recommend this highly enough if your skin's moisture is out of balance. This formulation is particularly good if you're sensitive to strong smells/perfumes or if your skin craves simpler, shorter ingredient lists.

Great for removing makeup and leaving the skin feeling very clean
I got kind of bored of the Body Shop (TBS) chamomile cleansing butter after using up two of them; it worked great with my skin but didn't quite wash off as well as I would like. You needed to use a cloth with that one or double cleanse. It left my skin feeling soft though. I opted for the purity version of the Clean It Zero since it doesn't have mineral oil (which I find is harder to wash off, like Pond's cold cream). I've been using this for about 2 weeks. Personally, $20 is expensive for a balm, but I had a gift card. I can't quite say how much this is worth to me ($10-15?) since I don't know how long a jar lasts. The Clean It Zero is more rich and thick than TBS when worked into the skin (it's like a thicker oil), but it rinses off quite easily. Oddly though, I didn't find that it hydrated the skin like TBS, so I'm not sure this would suit dry skin for it just slightly feels stripping (I have normal-oily skin)? It just leaves the skin feeling really clean, so it's perfect for removing makeup, but a bit too strong for removing sunscreen. When I first used this, it had a noticeable medicinal-herbal smell, that kinda bothered me, but after a few uses I got used to it and it doesn't smell as strong anymore. You can't smell it in the jar, but once you rub it in your face there's definitely a scent. I'm pretty sure it's from the various fragrant extracts and oils they put in this (licorice root and rosemary extract are pretty high up on the ingredients list, and rosemary and lavender oil are at the very bottom). I'm quite sensitive to the smell of lavender (which I don't like) so that may be why. The balm doesn't irritate my skin, but I'm not quite comfortable using this on my eyes. The spatula that comes with this is stored in a plastic tray that lays over the products, so it's really convenient. I use about a 2-peas size amount.I probably won't repurchase this because of the scent and price, and I'd like something that leaves my skin feeling a bit more supple. It works well though! It would suit oily skin very well.If you're concerned about sellers, I bought this from 8cos: good seller that shipped on time (it's coming from Korea though so it takes awhile to get here), and they even included a sample of a face cream.
