This sugar is the absolute best, but Amazon sux.
I’ve ordered this sugar over 40 times. Each time it has been dark brown, soft, and delicious. I use it to ferment my water kefir. It makes a super healthy, probiotic rich, bubbly & delicious drink. The sugar is almost entirely consumed during fermentation so it’s actually low carb and doesn’t spike my blood sugar. One criticism, not of this product, but of Amazon. They screwed up 4 deliveries in 2 days. This sugar arrived at the same carrier facility 4 times, was “processed” 5 times and went out for delivery twice over a 2 day period. They lied about trying to deliver it, wouldn’t let me cancel so I could reorder, and no longer have any type of customer service, including the crappy AI fake CS they use to have. Normally, when items are delivered we can rate the delivery. They removed that option when it was finally delivered a couple of hours ago. I wish I could get a lot of the stuff I buy locally, but I can’t so I’m stuck with Amazon who has gotten worse and worse the past couple of years.

I always buy this brand
I always buy this brown sugar. I never buy anything else anymore. It tastes great in your food requiring brown sugar. The light muscavado is good too. Great baking ability. It stays moist fairly well as long as you can seal it up in a plastic baggie. Easy to use. Not sticky. Sugar content is good. Highly recommend!

Decadent and delicious for chocolate chip cookie recipe
Replaced the regular dark sugar for this in my chocolate chip cookie recipe and it was decadent. Browned butter added even more richness.

Flavorful brown sugar
I love the dark rich flavor and scent of this brown sugar. My only issue if that there are small dark lumps throughout the bag that I find difficult to get rid of. The rest of the sugar is nice and fluffy but the lumps are still there. They aren’t even hard lumps, they’re moist. I have to rub the lumps between my fingers to get rid of them.

If you're not sure what this is figure it out first. But it's a good quality version of what it is.
I'm giving this five stars out of fairness to the seller - it's great quality. I just didn't realize it has such a pronounced flavor of molasses, but I've read more about it and that is in fact how it's supposed to be. I don't like molasses enough (at all) to want that flavor in my fruit smoothies but they sold me what I ordered and now I know more about sugar types. I also bought the light version (lighter colored) and that is much more to my taste. I am trying a bunch of different sugar types so I guess I'll be pretty familiar with the range of flavors after this even though a taste - a 1/8 teaspoonful - would have been enough for me to realize this particular one isn't for me. Do people actually like the flavor of molasses enough to want to have it in their sugar? I use brown sugar and like it but I guess that's the level of molasses that I can handle.
