Does this product clean and remove oil from hair?

It does cleanse the scalp and hair of product buildup. You do need to run a lot of water to get the product out of your hair. Well worth it. When you shampoo your hair after use, you will notice how clean your scalp is. I like the product with my 4b-4c hair. I was able to get 3 separate washing out of the 6.7oz tube.
