Robot Building Kit with Remote Control STEM Gifts for Boys 8-12

As a technology teacher with over 25 years’ experience, I found this 5-in-1 robot kit to be excellent. The instructions are very clear and precise, making it easy to follow from start to finish.In terms of age suitability, a capable 10-year-old with good motor skills should be able to complete it, while older students will have no difficulty at all. It’s a very engaging build and does a great job of keeping interest throughout.Overall, it’s a brilliant product—well worth the buy and excellent value for money. I would have no hesitation in recommending it.

Does what it says on the tin…box.So first things first the kit arrived missing a few parts but due to buying another kit with the same parts just a different seller I was able to get the built into the tank version. At first glance this is a complex build however following through the instruction book makes it really easy and fun to build. I do not have kids, but when I do they will get their own kits as I am not sharing.When I contacted the email on the box about the missing parts they made it really easy and simply asked for a list of the parts that were missing to get them sent out. PERFECT customer service!The one odd thing is the controller, it’s really easy to use HOWEVER, the direction control switches need to be set with the left one in the backward position and the right switch fully forwards, otherwise your bot will happily spin in circles.The app VERY to use! Simply download the app and open it. And you can either follow the instructions in the app OR just tap on the device you want to connect to and tap control, then tap the Bluetooth symbol and as long as the control unit is turned on it will connect in app so no need to worry about trying to pair it to your phone. I have added photos on the tank, the way I found the control needs to be set and the app screen shots.

Not being interested in the B and C models of this, I wanted it for the Wall-E build, visually it does not disappoint. It looks good and has nice little detail touches, the stickers help with that also.The arms are limited to up and down movement only, this could possibly be fixed with a small modification to the shoulders, they also are very loose so don't stay up. His claw hands are very loose, they do not stay open, they constantly flop shut, so posing these parts is almost impossible.The powered unit is one enclosed box, no individual motors, it looks very cheap and basic. It has a built in battery that you have to connect before you can use, it is rechargable, but as there is no usb port on the unit, you have to disconnect the battery, take it out and connect it to the supplied cable which can then be plugged into a usb port to charge. Not ideal, but it does the job I guess.While it looks good and the technic parts are a reasonable quality, I feel the price is a little high for what there is. If you love Wall-E though and want a building kit at a fairish price, then get it.

Got this as a gift, they loved the wall-e film, so this was a no trainer.Very easy to build, just like lego, but without the logo on the bricks.Quite nippy for what it is.Either way, it was a big hit.

Extraordinario juguete para practicar robótica. Tiene 5 formas de montaje y vienen explicadas de manera súper correcta de forma que hasta un niño de 9-10 años lo puede construir de manera perfecta sólo, por él mismo de manera autónoma.
