Chimes failed, operating instructions very unclear.
Chimes stopped working on first day. Instructions were written by someone in China who does not speak very good English. Those instructions are quite unclear.

Sound is nice, clock looks nice
Having a hard time with the chimes. They went off in the middle of the night and I read the directions and tried to fix it but not quite understanding how.

It kept good time and the pendulum worked good
I ordered this clock 3 times and returned 3 times. It kept good time and the pendulum worked good. The chimes did not work on any of them. Really liked the look of the clock, that's why I gave it 3 tries. Amazon made returning them simple and at no cost, so they get 5 stars. However, vmarketsite should get zero for quality control.

Chimes didn't work correctly
Could not get the clock to sound the correct number of chimes on the hour despite several attempts to reset the mechanism. Returned.

Beautiful pendulum mantel clock
I really like this clock. Setting the chime is a bit difficult when changing the ring pattern.Overall. I am very pleased with this product.

Finish up close is poor/cheap looking
The clock was difficult to load all the batteries required ... 4 I think. But it keeps good time. As for looks, from a distance (10 ft) it looks nice but any closer and you can see the brush marks from the application of the cheap finish.
