Good alternative OEM. Running this for 2 years now and still no issue. Noise level is definitely a bit louder. Maybe 2-3 decibels higher? It’s noticeable if you put your ears close to the console, but not noticeable when away.

Replaced a cooling fan in ps5. Console was running loud, would glitch after a longer run time from heat. I cleaned the unit out, felt the original fan to be slightly notchy when removed and free spinning. This replacement part is identical to the original, MFG markings, plug and fit perfectly. Pay attention to the fastener locations, those are different! Works great!!

Indeed an improvement! Easy to install with the right tools. I swapped the fan from my launch PS5. There's still some low RPM chug, but it's definitely quieter. For me, someone who hates fan noise, it was worth the upgrade.

The fan is easy to install. However, the wires to the connector are 2 to 3 centimeters to short, a spacer needs to be installed under the closest fan screw to allow the connector to install. If a spacer is not installed, there is a large chance that the wires will be cut (due to vibration and sharp edges) when the console operates. This problem can easily be corrected by the manufacturer to lengthen the power wires. Otherwise, a very good upgrade.

My PlayStation started shutting off ever since the fan inside stopped working, tried cleaning it but still it wouldn’t work. Of course I was skeptical about this but I gave it a shot, it even came with the T8 screwdriver and those are hard to find where I stay at. I recommend this it’s better then spending $500 bucks on a new system.
