If you enjoy the outdoors or the beach, this blanket is for you. My first experience with this product was at an outdoor event to watch the recent solar eclipse. A friend brought it along, and I knew immediately I needed one of my own. The blanket is made of a very lightweight nylon type material, and it makes the perfect barrier between the ground and everything on top of it -- picnic blanket, beach towels, etc. We used the blanket directly on the grass without anything else. It had recently rained, so it absorbed a little bit of moisture, but it also dried quickly. The large size gave us plenty of room to spread out. Don't let the size scare you -- it is very lightweight and compacts down to about the size of a woman's athletic shoe. The blanket comes with four plastic stakes and its own carrying case attached to the blanket. If you are using the blanket at the beach, you can fill the four corner pockets with sand to weigh it down. I've only used this product on the grass, but I am definitely packing it along in my suitcase for the next beach vacation so I can test those pockets out. This blanket is going to be a staple item for us at every outdoor event!

Love this! A clever design and so versatile. You really can't beat this blanket for the beach, campground, or even your own backyard. I couldn't believe how lightweight and compact it is--you can easily toss it in with the rest of your stuff. It comes packed in a small pouch with a drawstring closure. The canvas strap fits over your shoulder or clips to your gear. The pouch is attached, so it won't get lost. The blanket is huge. The material itself reminds me of parachute fabric--lightweight, soft and comfortable, yet durable. You could easily shake sand off this or even hose it off if it gets muddy. Try that with a beach towel or regular blanket! Great color. You can use the stakes or not. They're easy to drive into the ground, but if you don't want to use them, you can just leave them in the attached drawstring pouch. Probably the best part for me--it literally took 30 seconds to stuff it all back into the pouch! No special folding or trying to figure out how to get it back in. I'll be purchasing several as Christmas presents.

We took this blanket with us on vacation to a beach in Texas. I was surprised at how big this blanket was once I opened it and it was fully expanded. There was more than enough room for three full grown adults. It also resists sand very effectively. I was a bit skeptical when I bought this blanket that it may not actually resist sand, but it exceeded my expectations! As long as you pour all of the sand out of the pockets, you won't have any problems. We plan on taking this blanket on many more beach trips and it would be great on a camping trip.

This blanket is great for multiple uses. There's hardly a product out there that's better than this one when it comes to a picnic. It will resist dirt and sand like a pro. It has a really cool design, and many people will be able to use it all at once! It's a perfect blanket to have on a campsite or out on the lawn. I'm really looking forward to taking it on the beach! It's also very easy to store back up and very lightweight. I highly recommend this blanket for your everyday outdoor adventures!

Great-looking, great practicality, great value! I ordered two of these: one for myself, and another for gift-giving. Now that I've received the product, I will buy more. I can see myself using this at the beach, outdoor concerts, or picnics. This large blanket goes back into its own draw-string bag, compact enough to keep in the car at all times. I will be ordering more. This would make a great gift for birthdays, graduations, Christmas, you name it!

This isn’t compact at all. Folded up it’s huge and would take up a significant portion of a bag.
