The overall quality of the textbook is great and durable. I have only skimmed through the content, but it seems fairly thorough. There are chapters on everything you should find in a textbook aimed at high school biology students. Some of the big ideas such as plants, DNA, and a small amount of bio-chemistry are included. Overall it is a good textbook for the audience that would generally be using it.

The book is what my son needed, he has no complaints regarding the book.There was no tracking number, I had to email to get tracking information to see where the package was in it's journey to my house. When the package arrive the envelope it was packed in was inadequate for the weight of the book. The envelope was heavily shredded, I was able to just pull the book out of one of the holes in the envelope. Luckily, the book was not damaged.~Leslie

I used this book last year for AP Biology. Though we primarily took notes from our teacher's lectures, we read and took tests over the chapters in the text as well. This book is very thorough and easy to understand. It explains concepts in an organized way that helped me remember the important points for later. I ended up with a 4 on the AP Exam studying from this book, and to be honest it probably would've been a 5 if I had spent more than a few minutes studying. The only complaint I have is that sometimes introductory info and random sidenotes are too thorough and distract from the actual substance of AP Bio. Overall a great book for AP Biology students.
