Great for any project
I've already purchased this twice, and I'll be purchasing several more in the future. Some people complain about the voltage, I just plug it in to a Alitove 5V 15A power supply and it runs like a dream. The dev board makes hooking up my servos a breeze.

Works great. Can only program with USB C port on the chip. Works with Arduino IDE ESP32 Dev
Works great. Can only program with USB C port on the chip. The ports on the expansion board are just to power the whole thing from various sources. Works with Arduino IDE ESP32 Dev out of the box with no need to do anything else. Run the blink example to test just select the ESP32 Dev board and it works fine.

Good quality and very convenient to have usb-c + labeled board
Beautiful, the quality and convenience of using usb-c + having the labeled board is awesome, 10/10, worth the price vs the alternatives that are just barebones esp32s with micro-usb connections

Not as obscure as some think. Great part, The Uno piece, not so much.
One review suggests this is an obscure part with a strange pinout. not so. search for "ESP32 30 pin Devkit V1" and you will find loads of documentation. snapeda has a symbol, footprint and 3d model. The uno carrier is true to uno dimensions but has pins instead of sockets where you would put a shield and at first blush, a shield would short against the esp32's can before you plugged it all the way in. BUT, if you want a serious upgrade from an arduino at little cost, this board is the one for you. plenty of program memory (4M) but I haven't yet figured out how much RAM is available loads of peripherals AND an RTOS! C'mon AITRIP, It would not be a hassle to throw a link to a website documenting this module onto your sales page.

One of two was DOA
One of the boards was DOA. The ESP32 chip on the bad board was visually different from the one that worked. The expansion board worked good for powering the chip directly from a 12v source, which was convenient for my use. Now I just need to order another ESP to replace the failed one.

Possible cloned chip/won't flash
Looks like the pins on both my boards were bent when covering with foam protection. Not in shipping. The develop boards seem to work. You can program the chips from the board, but you need to plug the USB into the chip as the USB on the board seems to only power which is fine. The first couple times programming chip off the board you will need to press BOOT on chip when the dots on crossing the screen. While on the board one chip auto flashed without having to press BOOT.I got two boards from two batches with different markings in the WROOM chip, as you can see the one with smaller markings is also the one that I can't get to flash at all. Seems it might be a cloned chip. Not worth requesting a refund but will be cautious on reordering.

These turned out to be a really good value.
I decided to take a chance despite the small number of reviews and so far, I'm happy with them. The included development boards are very convenient for some quick wiring and adding external power (the board says 6.5-16v) - I'm using a 12v adapter from an old netgear router. The only negative is that no documentation came with them.
