We live in the country and need to get a lot of items shipped to us... Needles to say we end up breaking down a lot of cardboard. Where has this tool been all my life?! It's wonderful. Very easy to slice through cardboard sides to make them into more manageable pieces. I have not used on really thick cardboard yet, but I imagine it could still be used, just slower. Highly recommend.

Bought for use at work and really like it. Very sharp and easy to use. Comes in and out of holder very easy.

Works great! Cuts through cardboard like butter. I keep it by the front door for opening and breaking down packages.

Excellent and safe tool for quickly opening packages. Sharper than a butter knife but still not sharp enough to cut me if I’m clumsy while opening packages. Love it. Derrick

Safer and just as fast as a box cutter, I originally bought the yellow handled one for a project, and dulled it with years of use, then we discovered the thin serrated blade is also good for fine cutting of other material, like drywall, so I purchased more than one to avoid mixing uses. Overall, a nice tool that has seen lots of use over the years.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I break down a lot of cardboard boxes for recycling. This knife saves my better blades. Good value, good product.

I use this to open all my packages

I like this cardboard cutter. It does not cut as fast or as smoothly as a normal box cutter, but it gets the job done. It has a serrated blade. It feels safer to use and less likely to accidentally cut hands or fingers. I mainly use it for opening letters and boxes, and it works well for that. It is not as good for thin cardboard because it does not make the cleanest cuts. This version comes with a nice cover for safer storage, and I like the bright orange colour because it stands out, making it easy to find and less likely to disappear in a drawer. Overall, I am happy with it. It feels sturdy and I will likely buy another one when this one needs replacing or if I decide I need a spare.

Very useful for breaking down cardboard boxes, especially as the cutter is much safer to use than box cutters. It is a little slower, but well worth it as a trade off.

I'm a librarian and I have to cut a lot of cardboard to make things for children's programming. This tool has been a great help and is much better than the knife I previously used for doing detailed work/curves/tight corners. If you're crafting with cardboard, this tool might be a great help!
