iPhone 8 Plus Leather Case/iPhone 7 Plus Leather Case Flip Cover Black - KANVASA Pro Premium Genuine Leather Wallet Book Folio Case for The Original iPhone 8 Plus & 7 Plus - with Magnetic Closure

I was worried when I got it as it felt super hard and I thought it was a soft leather case.. It was delivered by USPS by being thrown under the garage so I decided to wait on the review. Glad I did, after using it for a day it's softened up and feels very nice. It does have some weight to it but that only means the material is very good material. The only issue I've run into is the fingerprint scanner on the back as is you can not get it to read with how thick the case is. I have to slip my finger in the backside where it pulls away with the stand position for hands free video watching. Apart form that this case is an ace case. I've tried 2 other leather cases off Amazon and this one has been the best so farUPDATE: For those wondering how strong the magnet is, it's super strong... I can hang the phone on the refrigerator and it doesn't budge an inchUPDATE 2: 9 Months later and the only thing wrong is a tiny crack on the outer edge where the speaker is... Case has held up. Protected my phone through drops, however, due to how bulky it is I may have not had as many drops had it been a more sleek case. To be said with any flip case though so not really a fault of this case in particular.

I'll be honest with you. There are some things about this case that aren't as handy as I'd like. PROS: (things I like)1. This case only has one card slot, but I don't need any. Because of that it's very thin and fits easily into my front jeans pocket. 2. The book style cover protects the phone screen much better than a piece of glass. (I tend to carry things like cement blocks up against my pants and lean over against tables and walls, putting my phone in harm's way). 3. When reaching into my pocket to extract my phone I don't smudge the screen with my greasy fingers because the screens is covered, until I open it. 4. The front cover then folds easily back and the magnetic clasp holds it tight against the back of the phone. The magnet closure is strong against the screen when closed. (The cover when open or closed will hold the phone against any metal surface, like a fridge or a car fender). READ ON FOR CON #1. 5. The material is real cowhide leather. Not "genuine leather" which is a plastic imitation leather. (Look up "genuine leather") 6. It feels comfortable in the hand, or the kickstand works well in panorama view. 7. When the case is closed the phone buttons are easily accessable. The spline (hinge) is thin and supple in the area of the volume buttons to facilitate depressing those buttons. 8. What else? Extremely inexpensive. When I bought it, it was around $10.00 and it's made in Germany not the other place. 9. It's just my opinion but this case is kept bare bones and slim! It protects the phone exclusivity without trying to be a multiple card holding, bill stuffed beast "jack of all trades and master of none".CONS: 1. the magnet destroys apps like Compass and Google sky from functioning properly. 2. Initially the spline was stiff and didn't fold back tightly. After a couple days it relaxed considerably. 3. You must remove phone from case to access SD card.IN CONCLUSION: If you trash your clothes daily at work and wear holes in the knees of your pants (but wear them anyway) or have dirtygreasy hands smudging your screen and are tired of changing your phones broken glass screen protector, then maybe you would like this case. I'm surprised how much I like it and grow fonder of it the longer I own it.UPDATE: 2 months later:I cut the magnets out of it so Compass and Google Sky would function correctly. It still protects the screen, but I'm not a phone dropper. If you are then it a good idea to leave the magnets intact. Bottom right corner of the plastic part of the case broken away. Still holds the phone securely though.

So far this was my favorite iPhone11 Pro case. Two others failed at 5 weeks. This one lasted 5 months. To some degree I fault Apple for placing the camera so close to the edge that there isn't enough room for the case to adequate cover the corner but either make a good case or don't.Update 7/1/20: Just ordered a second one of these and raised rating to 3 stars. I have tried 5 other cases in the last two weeks and 3 broke within a couple of days and 2 didn't wireless charge despite saying so in the description. So, I still wish it would last more than a few months but I'm happily using the 2nd one now.

Some of these poor-rating reviews don't seem valid.  Yes, this IS real leather, it's nice, and it doesn't smell like chemicals as is often the case w/junk leather.  However: Don't plan on using the card slot for a credit card--1-2 business cards, maybe. Magnets are strong, and could de-magnetize your cards--so I'd keep them away, but they're not small magnets that would cut thru the material--they're like flat metal plates.  Case is NOT bulky -- it's about as thin as you could ever expect from a screen covering leather case.  Case edge feels like gently rubberized plastic-- good hand feel, but really thin, so I hope those edges hold up in a drop, as there's really no other protection on those open edge corners.  Love that you can talk w/the front case closed, but it's also easy to fold cover behind the phone as the magnets hold it that way as well.  The comment about the magnets messing up the internal compass is valid. My Maps program is a little wonky since using the case, and my astronomy app is way off because of interference w/the compass.

I bought this case 11 months ago, and as of 4-5 months ago this began to show major signs of wear. The plastic lining was particularly weak and gave little coverage to the phone. The corners cracked first, then pieces of the plastic lining came off/detached from the leather. The final failure was discovered after dropping the phone a distance of 3-4 feet and seeing the entire back of the phone cracked up (the side that was covered).I’ve had similar flip cases before that have lasted 2 years, and none where the plastic lining failed to the level that this did. I would avoid this case.

Took a few trials with other cheaper cases. Not quite there. So I paid a bit more and got this solid protective beauty. Combined with a wet applied film it is the business. A solid magnetic closure which won't open by accident.Dropped it as I was opening the car door the other day, the phone landed on the bonnet...and stuck there. It was heading for a slide to the floor but the magnet just held it firm and it wasn't going anywhere. That's a side effect I suppose, but a handy one. It also stuck firmly, in a vertical position, to a metal cabinet in work. Neat.Still half the price of Samsung cases. Quality.Been having an issue with the inside felt leaving a trace of itself on the screen of the phone! It left a mark that would not rub off the screen protector. I've gone through four of them and the same result. The removed screen protector has an outline of the credit card slot - it's like the Turin shroud!. I don't even put a credit card in there.I've now put a small microfibre cloth in between the inside cover and the phone screen. I've never had to do that before. So...two stars removed.

Having had many high end case's in the past, including Piel Frama, Noreave, etc, which are expensive case's, more than twice the price of this I have to say that for the price this case is absolute perfection. On the Samsung Note 8 phone there are few good case's out there that suited me until I stumbled on this. The case fits like a glove, so well in fact that you would have to carefully 'peel' it off, it wraps round the edges seamlessly, no sharp edges and the cut outs are perfect. It's so well done you could be fooled into thinking its part of the actual handset, also finished with a pleasing matt finish, no seams showing, though the only cutout not there is the one for the sim card/sd holder, no big deal because that normally doesn't come out.The leather has a very pleasing feel to it, slightly oily making it very hard to drop, stitching is perfect and the clever small but effective magnets hold the case cover in securely. I tried another case previous to this one which was more expensive, leaving it back because the magnets interfered with the removeable pen, this has no negative effect whatsoever!Buy this without reservation, fantastic product, and the usual good service via amazon/ seller. It there was on thing I would criticize it would be the logo on the front cover, this could be slightly more discrete and in my opinion omitted or place inside somewhere.No big deal per se.

Glad I read other reviews & chose this. I had tried the other case types but because I had a hard screen protector on the cases would push the protector off. This is my first flip case. I have the phone in & the screen cover fits too. It's well made, leather & the magnetic closer works well & is strong. I don't use the finger print thing so I can't comment, but it seems accessible still. The cut out for camera is adequate. I agree with 1 other review that said the inside does pick up fluff a bit ( where u store cards, if u wish), but as she said use a lint roller or sticky tape if it's too fluffy. Personally its not a big deal. This case is very decent quality. Not sure about how it will be if phone is dropped, i think the edge protection is adequate all round, & the magnetic cover stays over the front. It's well made & good leather. A few more colour options would be good. You can flip the front cover over , so it stays behind if you prefer it in your hand like that.

I bought this phone case for my Samsung S8.When I opened the packet and unpacked the case I was impressed with the quality and look. I was also impressed with the way my phone fitted into the case and with the magnetic fastening - strong but not too strong.I was, therefore, very disappointed when I put my phone onto my QI wireless charger, the same charger I have been using for other phones for some time. The back of the case is either too thick or it contains something which blocks the charging current and the phone refused to charge.A great case but it doesn't work for me so I have had to return it.CHANGED TO 5 STARSJust found out that the fault is with my charger - duh! The S8 needs a 10w charger and mine is only 5w hence my charging problems. Wish I hadn't returned it now :-(

I think this is a good protector but I am guessing it suffers with quality control issues. I used to have the fake leather one (identical design but different brand) which lasted for maybe 4 months and then I decided to buy this one hoping it will last longer.It's day-4 and I already had to carry out a couple of repairs, namely a) paint a scuff at the front corner which exposed the whitish leather, and b) apply a small amount of superglue around the inner lining's border which was loose over 3-4 centimeters.For the quality which I experieced I think the price is a bit ambitious.Nevertheless I think this one will last longer, looks elegant, and it is very sturdy. The magnetic lid closes tightly so no issues there. All the screen protectors I have tried so far can be fitted fine when the S8 is in this phone case.
