Supurb in Every Way
There's nothing not to love about this book. I bought the printed edition for my 7 year old granddaughter and a kindle copy for myself. It's hard to believe a 16 year old could write a book that answers just about any question you have regarding making slime and she is always right on. How do I know she is the best? Because after watching hundreds of slime videos with my granddaughter while I visited her and reading several other books on my kindle, I was totally confused. For example, the kids love to add tons of shaving cream to their slime. Many of the recipes I came across in other books or videos called for 2 or 3 cups. This makes it amazing to play with for 3-4 days, after which it begins to deflate and should be thrown out or you run the hazard of having it leak out of the supposed air tight containers if they are stored on their side, rather than in a flat position. This happens so more containers can be stored in a given space.Everyone of my granddaughter's friends is now banned from making slime. It's not due to the mess of cleaning up, but because of the disgusting condition of the slime when it starts leaking all over the place. Alyssa explains in her book what happens when shaving cream is used and suggests that when it begins to deflate it can then be used for iceberg slime, but shortly after it has to be disposed of.Then, there is the problem of using plastic snow used in cotton candy slime or the current viral slime, cloud slime. What an unbelievable mess this stuff creates, causing parents to think of these slimes as a virus equivalent to some kind of plague. Alyssa carefully explains the option of using SAP powder (instant snow) and wow, this stuff creates no havoc and is just delightful to handle.I could expand on Alyssa's all-inclusiveness in this book with at least 20 other examples that simplify slime making, from what to buy, how to use the product, what to expect, and etc. As crazy as this sounds, my granddaughter is extremely enthusiastic and this can be quite contagious. When I returned home I ordered the necessary supplies and made every recipe in Alyssa's book and compared each one to a variety of other versions. The results are in. Her recipes win the gold metal. This includes some slimes I bought on line (etsy's slime stores). I'm done now, but I had a lot of fun creating and playing with the various slime textures as well as using her decorating suggestions. Slime can certainly bring out one's creativity and making it certainly beats the hours kids spent on the I-pad.Alyssa, your family must be so proud of you! I know whatever path you choose to follow in life will lead to gratifying success.

All the Information You Can Find Online in One Convenient Book
The Ultimate Slime book was happily received by the daughter for Christmas. The book doesn't have anything particularly revolutionary in it in regards to slime, but for under $5, it's a nicely printed guide with plenty of pictures, clear instructions, and sound recipes that will guarantee your sliming success. The recipes are pretty much variations of two base recipes, and again, it's nothing you can't find online in some form. You will need to purchase glue, activator of your choice, and whatever mix ins the recipe calls for. The kid is having a lot of fun going through the many many variations and noted that she liked how everything was laid out in one book so she doesn't have to search for the individual recipes. If you're making a slime gift basket, this would be a great addition to include.

Oh so informative! We love it!
21yo daughter has been cruising slime videos online and decided she wanted to try it. With both of us being hands on textural people we we're intrigued. There was too much information online and somewhat confusing. So I decided to surprise her with this book and supplies. We made 3 batches that first day! 😁I really liked seeing page samples (in the photos) and it definitely helped with my decision. The photos and instructions are great, colorful and clear to understand. I really liked knowing the why, how and how to fix-it information. And all the wonderful reviews just sealed the deal. Looking forward to trying more!

False advertisement.
I think the “...more then 100 other oddly satisfying recipes and projects” was false advertisement. There are 2 basic slime recipes, then maybe 4 more that actually add more then ONE other ingredient/product, after that, the named recipes are really, “1 batch of basic clear glue + same amount of foam beads = Floam!!!” 😒 My niece didn’t need a book to come up with that one.... I do not recommend this book. You can learn more for free on YouTube.

Great book for slime making inspiration!
The media could not be loaded. I gave this book to my daughter as part of a DIY slime kit. It's perfect! No fail base recipes, and tons of inspiration for blinging out your slime! I added a few fun ingredients, including soft clay, fake snow, and pearl craft paint so she could experiment right away. She's having a ball! And there's a troubleshooting guide in the back in case you run into any problems. She's made recipes off of blogs, but this is "the best slime she's ever made", and the book is an all in one place for ideas and recipes. Super helpful!

She's made a few of the recipes with great success! As a book lover myself
I got this for my slime obsessed 9 year old for Christmas. She's made a few of the recipes with great success! As a book lover myself, I'm glad she's using a "recipe" book over YouTube.

Good variety of options
Purchased this for my daughter. She is young so I have had to help her make the slime. Overall it is very clear. Most recipes are adjusted to the makers preference in texture and stickiness so the recipes are the starting point. We found you do have to add a lot of stayflo to get the slime to bind. We tried using a single product instead of mixing baking soda and contact lens solution. I still find the old recipes that use Borax to be just as effective and quicker to bind. Which in time saves on all the ingredients.

Great Book - Easy Recipes
I bought this for my kids for Christmas after almost purchasing another one. Thankfully I read the reviews first and realized many of them stated that the recipes didn't work and actually didn't create slime. Not so for this book! WE have tried most of them and had success with all of the recipes. The book is beautiful. The recipes could be listed more prominently on each page, but that is a small annoyance. Easy to follow recipes and great tips.

Different recipes
Lots of different recipes in this book to make slime although some very strange ones at the back of the book. This is the second best book I have brought out of three.

Great book, clearly set out.
This was bought as part of a gift for my 12 year old nephew, he was really excited about getting started with the recipes. It gives alternative ingredients to use to create the slime which is very handy.
