This is a stepping stone book to have if you're into political science and it'll be referenced a lot, so it's good to have a copy around!

Needed this for class.

Machiavelli certainly has a bad reputation, it seems. I was curious to see what all of the fuss was about. I definitely have a different view than most regarding the style Machiavelli writes. He seems more like a realist than an advocate for evil. These writings are expertly organized and history is provided which helps to put the writings into the perspective of the times.

Managed to get the exact book that my professor wanted me to so this was a good description. Exactly what you pay for and at a decent price.

An organized approach to reading the philosopher.

The Prince is a book everyone should read in order to understand how many kings and rulers who followed his philosphies drew their inpsiration from. Discources is simply outstanding. It will give you a deep appreciation of not only this man's erudition, but also of his great mind. All this for under 10 dollars! What are you waiting for?

Good translation

Excellent excellent book. Machievelli was a tactical genius in his time and saw how power, respect and loyalty worked behind the scenes. Must read for anyone interested in political theory or philosophy.

Wrote a final paper on his writings. lots of debate over being a "teacher of evil". great for people who enjoy politics and critical ideas.
