ZebraPen Zebrite Double-Ended Highlighter, Chisel and Fine Point, Yellow, 12 Pack

These highlighters are bright and do not bleed through the pages of my Bible.

I thought I would try a brand name and pay extra (hoping for longer lasting). Unfortunately, these highlighters don't last any longer than the cheaper ones.

I first found these sold individually at our local Books a Million store. They are AMAZING. Even though they are marker based, they do not bleed through thin Bible pages like a normal highlighter would. Naturally, they also will not bleed through regular book pages. This is the only highlighter I use on my books now, and I would highly recommend them.My only complaint is that the highlighter does not seem to last very long, whereas my old highlighters (fatties from Wal-Mart or any common office supply store) seemed to last 2-3 times longer. It's hard to measure the length of time because I do not use these daily. Grabbing a book from my shelf, it seems like the bright yellow held up for about 200 pages of highlighting passages before growing faint into a buttercup yellow rather than a lemon yellow. One poster commented that it was too faint to see; I have not had this problem with any of mine (I started using them in Summer 2011), so I'm wondering if s/he got a dud/bad batch.My only other comment is that these are significantly more expensive on Amazon than they are for me locally. At the bookstore they are around $2.50 individually, so this is a staggering difference. I ordered here for the convenience because we were getting several other items, too, but if you have a BAM nearby, you might want to take a look. I just realized why there is this price disparity: The ones from BAM are not the "eco" version; they have a black casing rather than the white shown here. I'm not sure what makes this model "environmentally friendly," but I hope this information helps.

I was so happy to find these highlighters on Amazon they are the best ones I’ve ever used. They last a long time the color is good and bright and they never bleed through. I do a lot of Bible studies and use these highlighters a lot. I like to give them as a gift to the ladies I do the study with.

This is a nice general purpose highlighter. I really like how fluorescent it is and the double-ended design. However, I specifically bought it because it was advertised that it would not bleed through pages. The product description clearly reads "Great for bibles, textbooks, and classroom notes...", and I wanted it to use it to highlight my bible.Unfortunately when I tested it, it didn't work up to expectations. I could clearly see the ink bleeding through the pages of my Life Application Study Bible. It certainly wasn't any better than a Sharpie highlighter I just happened to have lying around. Additionally, a small amount of ink smeared on to the opposite page too as you can see in the pictures. Understanding that every bible is printed differently, I tried other types of paper products too, and found that the highlighter bleeds through pages in a regular steno notebook from Staples. In my final test, I found that the highlighter performed okay on a piece of 75 GSM copy paper. If you look for it, you can see an ever-so-slight bleed-through that isn't really visible in the picture, but it doesn't catch your eye at first glance.Overall, I find the "doesn’t bleed through paper" claim quite misleading.EDIT: I'm aware I mislabeled the copy paper back side, but Amazon won't let me change the picture

This is the BEST highlighter for any book that you don't want the color to bleed through the page. It's great for Bibles, and any book you'd like to highlight, without color running onto the opposite page. I have bought them for years!

Could only find a big pack but I use them a lot, love the value and they work really well.

I wouldn't recommend this product if you're planning on highlighting printed documents. It doesn't matter how long the ink has been dry for, this highlighter will dissolve the ink and smear it into a grey mess. It works ok with pens. Even still the final product is quite pale?

It bleeds through to the next page so I’m not sure why it’s advertised as being the opposite.. still a good highlighter

Excellent. The color doesn’t fade or change at all. Beautiful yellow color. I always use this one when highlighting is needed on the Bible.

Those are the only highlighters on which I can safely rely to annotate my legal codes without making and a mess and ruining them.
