Better than the original filter.
I replaced the original Sears filter on my Kenmore Whispertone canister vacuum with this improved filter. It fits perfectly and the pleated design and cardboard housing is a giant improvement over the foam only original filter. Remember to install this filter with the flow arrow pointing toward the exhaust outlet and not toward the motor (on the Whispertone vacuum the air points up). Will buy this again and recommend this filter as a BETTER replacement than the original filter that comes with the Whispertone canister vacuum.

would be easy to install if it fit, had correct part # as I got it from the manual that came with the vaccum but it still did not fit ,too small

Not sure about this
Appears to fit my kenmore progressive fairly well, but one side gets bent a little while putting it in. Can’t be sure it’s filtering effectively.
