I discovered accidentally that lavender keeps pigeons away which is brilliant because they have been messing up my doorway and patio for months. You need to use this weekly because the smell fades after a while. I'm 100% sure lavender is a true deterrent rather than just covering up the pigeon pheromones (which attract other pigeons): when I used Jeyes fluid alone it didn't work. Such a God-send.*UPDATE* it seems the deterrent effect was only temporary - or at least doesn't work on all pigeons. However I have added some black pepper and cayenne into the liquid and this seems to do the trick.

This reminds me of a disinfectant air freshener that I used to be able to buy over 20 years ago that I loved as it ensured your house was clean and smelled amazing for ages. I'm delighted to find this product that has very similar qualities, and that I can buy it on subscription at a great price. I put a full bottle in a spray bottle and top up with water as its concentrated, so about half and half ratio, and it lasts for a long time.

This particular concentrate is difficult to find in the supermarkets but a must if you have animals in your house. A quick wipe over the furniture and carpets once a week keeps them smelling gorgeous, it can be used all over the house lovely to leave in the toilet before visitors are due, so we would not be with out it and handy to have a good supply!!

I put a drop of this in with washing up liquid and water in a spray bottle for surface cleaning...I also put some in my washing machine with a wash and all in all I think it's pretty amazing
