LOVE!!!!
Absolutely fantastic!! It heats within 3 minutes to a full, rolling boil! Easy to clean, small and attractive. Super handy and I love it. It seems sturdy and it has a window so you can see the water level. I had a very old Hot Shot that was rusting out. I needed something new and they don't make Hot Shots anymore so I took a chance on this. So glad I did. I love it.

Best kettle ever!!
Wow!! This is the best tea/coffee heating kettle I have ever bought in my like and I’m 65 and absolutely love to make tea, coffee, Matcha Latte, Vanilla Latte, etc. This is the BEST and fastest kettle ever and I love it! It heats up so fast and efficiently and the water is really hot. I don’t even have to wait for it to reach automatic shut off as once I hear it boiling I just shut it off myself and I’m making some awesome tea, coffee or latte. And I’ve also noticed that my tea or coffee stays hotter longer in my cup and actually tastes better! I’m telling you my beverages taste better with this kettle because the water is heated up efficiently. It’s fast. It takes like five minutes or less to heat up! I don’t even use my stove top kettle anymore. This product is awesome!!

Perfect kettle
Love my new kettle, it’s small, heats quickly and is pretty stainless steel. Perfect for small kitchen and heating water for 1-2 cups of coffee or tea.

Easy to use, easy to love
Woo-hoo! An excellent product! It has excellent safety features that are extremely important to me: you have to manually turn it on (not just plug it in the outlet), it has clear markings for the amount of water including the maximum amount you should use, it boils the water very quickly and then immediately turns itself off. So there's no chance of boiling dry and starting a fire even if you get distracted and forget you turned it on. I routinely dump out leftover water and let the pot air dry to prevent using stagnant water or possibly having mold growth. I've been using it for several weeks and have zero complaints!

Great little kettle.
Despite it's simplicity, this kettle has proved quite versatile and I am quite happy I decided to invest in an electric kettle and learn how to use one beyond the obvious tea and coffee and anything that can be cooked by simply pouring boiling water over it and letting it sit when my family's microwave died a few months back. In addition to being able to brew myself a hot cuppa, I can now boil my own eggs, cook my own rice, make dried beans edible, and kettle cooked oatmeal and potatoes are on my list of things to try. Pros: -Large, insulated handle. Easy to grip even with my massive hands and sticks out far enough that I can sit the kettle on the edge of my counter with the handle facing outward and then easily scan the edge of the counter top to locate the handle without risk of burning my hand or knocking it off the counter, a vitally important safety feature to the independant blind person. -Easy to fill and just the right size for making kettle cooked meals for one person. -Retains heat well when left close and full of hot water, but cools quickly once empty and nearly instantly if refilled with cold water. -The cord is neither frustratingly long or frustratingly short. -No annoyingly high-pitched beeps. Cons: -Outer shell gets hot enough to burn. -Opening is a bit narrow for pouring canned goods and makes pouring from a measuring cup a bit tricky. I intend to buy a funnel to address this issue. -It's tall, narrow body shape makes stirring contents without being burned by steam difficult. I've ordered some 12" glass stirring rods to address this issue. -It's too quiet when the water isn't boiling. Nothing to indicate its working for the first minute or two, and the click when it shuts off can't be heard if you aren't standing next to it. -Adding granular food stuff to a cold kettle seems to confuse what ever detects it should shut off, making it useless for heating canned vegetables unless they're added to something that requires adding water(Pouring boiling water over a bowl of dry ramen topped with canned beans works great, but in addition to the trouble of pouring canned beans into the opening, best I can tell, I'd have to hold down the switch for it to stay on long enough to heat the canned beans. This issue doesn't seem to extend to say, adding dried beans or rice to already heated water and reheating to a boil. -Dried beans have a tendency to get stuck between the wall and a mounted on the inside of the kettle and in the corners of the viewing window. Rice just stickes to everything. Also, even with the filter removed, the spout won't allow for pouring rice or beans out, and dumping them by inverting and opening the lead, the lip catches a lot. Refilling with cold water and using my hand to scrape the inside of the kettle makes removing the stubborn food easy enough, but it's still annoying and I can't help thinking it shouldn't be this hard. Gives me pause regarding trying kettle cooked oatmeal(here's hoping pour over works even for non-instant oats). The cord doesn't fully retract into the base. -Water sometimes leaks on to the counter top. Overall, it could be better, but for being one of the cheapest kettles out there, it's surprisingly good.

Good kettle Good price
I had to replace my electric kettle because after ten years it started to leak from the front see through panel. I bought this one which is the current model. Not crazy about the design but it's sturdy and easy to clean. Vinegar and water and a little baking soda on a sponge once a week keeps the inside bottom shiny as new. The water gets super hot very quickly so that is a plus. It's a good kettle that does what it is supposed to.

Buy it for Life
Update: July 2026 I bought this electric kettle in 2020, and it looks like the only difference in the current model is the color of the plastic water level window. Mine doesn't have a blue tint to it and never did, but the rest looks to be exactly the same. I still rave about this thing to anyone who will listen. There is nothing else I own that I think will last me the rest of my life, except for this kettle. It is still in perfect, day-one condition and requires almost zero upkeep. I do only pour filtered water into it, so I only have to take a thing of steel wool to the inside of it for about 10 seconds once every 9 months or so. I don't treat it delicately, I don't polish it when company comes over. Still, nothing jostles or rattles, nothing is loose, not even a little bit. It's the kind of solid build quality that makes you wonder why they aren't all like this. It's no frills and does one job, and it does that job perfectly and has done so dependably multiple times a day, every single day, for 6 years. If my house burns down I'm grabbing this kettle and my family can fend for themselves. Things you wouldn't expect to like about this thing: 1. Putting it back on the base feels and sounds exactly like hanging up the house phone back in the 90s. 2. The kettle can be tossed on the base any which way and can be freely rotated. There's nothing that has to line up, you don't have to place it on the thing *just. so.* or anything like that. Perfect for groggy mornings (are there people who don't have groggy mornings?) 3. The only sound it makes when the water is ready is a nice, satisfying deep *flick* of the start switch snapping back up to the off position. No beeps. No chimes. No dings. No ridiculous blue or red LED indicator lights. Just the soft amber glow of the on/off switch. They don't make stuff like this anymore and they haven't for decades. It's so refreshing. 4. The sound of the water coming to a boil, with its crescendo ending with a flick of the off switch is as comforting to me as morning songbirds. 5. It's effortless to turn on, you simply press down on the switch. It's not a button, it's not a touch screen, it's not a skinny little metal stick. It's a flat, thumb-sized plastic "tongue" that I have pressed literally thousands of times. Again, nothing is loose or cheap feeling. Whoever designed this thing should be in charge of designing every new appliance. 6. It doesn't require a freaking app to use it. It doesn't have bluetooth. It doesn't have a secret microphone. It doesn't require a subscription. It's twenty bucks and will outlive you. This likely won't be my last update to this review. It's been a true companion all these years, and I hope by writing this review that the butterfly effect will cause more things to be made like this in the future. * * * Update: February 2024 I'm nearing five years with this bad boy and it's as good as day one. I have not been gentle with it over the past nearly half-decade, and have used it to boil water 4-5 times a day, everyday, and there are zero signs of wear. Nothing has come loose, nothing jostles or rattles, it is still totally solid and has many more years left in it. Very happy with this purchase still to this day. Original review: It really bums me out that all of the featured reviews on this kettle are the obvious rare outliers, because this is by far my favorite purchase of the last decade. I’ve had it for only 1.5 years, but I use it 5-6 times a day for tea, oatmeal, mac and cheese, and if a recipe calls for boiling water I use this kettle and transfer it to a pot because it heats so quickly. It’s in constant use, and I have FULL confidence that this kettle with last me the rest of my life. It is one of those rare instances where the price tag does not in any way match the value of this thing (and I think I paid even less, it was maybe $20 when I bought it). This feels like a Sunbeam product from the 80s, the kind of sturdy, hardy product that doesn’t require a delicate touch to keep it from falling apart, and I’ll be able to give it to my kids one day. And what more, this is the best looking water boiler that money can buy, and it would look great on any counter. There is not one product in any category from the last 25 years that I have had only positive things to say about, except for this. There is nothing on the cons list- this kettle is the real deal.

Heats up quick!
This thing is amazing! Yes, it's small and doesn't heat up a ton of water at once, but it's fast! We quit using the Keurig and switch to instant blond espresso because it just tastes better, and my last electric kettle just quit working one morning, after years of sitting on the counter and only being used a couple times a month. That kettle was bigger, and took 5+ minutes to heat up even half a pot. This one, a full pot (which is about the same as half of my old kettle) is boiling within 2 minutes! I put the water in, turn it on and by the time I have the cup out, sugar and instant coffee in, it's ready. It's really that quick! And since it's small, it doesn't take up much space on my counter. It's perfect!

Fast, Compact, & No Plastic Taste (Perfect Dorm/Office Size)
This is a fantastic, no-frills electric kettle if you need a compact model for a small kitchen, dorm room, or office desk. After two weeks of daily testing, here is a detailed breakdown of how it actually performs. The Speed (Boil Time): Filled exactly to the 1-Litre MAX line, it takes approximately 4 minutes and 15 seconds to reach a full rolling boil. If you are just heating enough water for a single mug of tea (around 300ml), it takes just under 90 seconds. One Minor Critique:The power cord is relatively short (around 2.5 feet / 75 cm). You will need to place it quite close to an electrical outlet.

Compact size and reliable
This is a great, reliable kettle. It’s a good size if you don’t want it to take up too much space on your countertop or want to store it away in between uses. I actually bought it 7 years ago and it just recently started not turning on all the time, but after 7 years of consistent use and the low price I bought it at, I feel I got my moneys worth. The price now is a lot higher than before and ended up buying a different brand, but if you can get this kettle on sale I highly recommend it.

Solid and economical
It still works solid after +1 year and became essential item in my kitchen. Good value for the money, and it boils real qucik. Initially, I did not expect this would last long more than a year, but it turned out a good product. Not fancy, but just works perfect as water boiler. Recommended.
