Has anyone used this to slide an old barn door 10 feet sideways?

If you can slide it by hand you should be able to make it work. There is only about 9' of travel tho. I have it on a big 10ft roll up door and caught one of my grand kids (40 lbs) hanging on and riding it up last week.

Does Chamberlain make a chain for a 12ft door? If you already have 2 chains for a 10ft door my guess is that the answer to your question is "yes". After positioning the motor where you want it for the 12 ft door, your 2 chains will be too long. You will have to shorten one of them and connect it to the other. They're common roller chains and links are readily available .

Will it work with a model C203?

Have no clue to model number you ask.. But this kit is designed to work with the shorter Chamberlain model and gives one the new cable and track to handle the taller door.

The 10 foot extension is a very good choice. I had a liftmaster on a 9 foot door. The 10 ext required me to relocate my head unit back about 18 inches. Do not try to use any of the parts from the 8 foot extension. This only applies to chain drive openers. If the unit you are buying is a belt drive call Chamberlain and get the one they recommend.
