Bethlehem Lighting Indoor/Outdoor Hanging 50 Mini Starlight Sphere, Blue by GKI

Arrived defective...only half of the sphere would light up and one of the decorative plastic 'petals' had fallen off and would not stay on when I tried to replace it. The instructions for replacing bulbs are pathetic and never explains what the rubber o-ring is to be used for, which I feel sure plays a part in keeping the plastic decoration secure around the bulb.As another reviewer wrote, because the two sides are secured with rivets instead of screws, it is impossible to open the sphere and troubleshoot lighting issues. I am pretty handy and could likely find and fix the issue if I could open the sphere. Surely this design flaw could be easily fixed!!!!Amazon could not replace the item due to being out of stock, so I wound up purchasing it through Novelty Lights. Now I see that the Novelty Lights brand is available for purchase through Amazon. This was not the case two weeks ago or I would have saved on shipping!!!!!!I ordered the 100 twinkle light sphere with this same order. It worked great for about two weeks. Now one-half of the sphere doesn't light up. Replaced the fuses and no luck. Checked for any loose bulbs and again no luck. Both of these lights were from Bethlehem Lights.I will never purchase another item from BETHLEHEM LIGHTS.About two weeks before placing this order, I purchased this same light through Lowe's, but it was manufactured by GE. I have had NO problems with this light. Unfortunately, I cannot find the GE brand anywhere on the web.

I just logged on to purchase more of these lights. I paid $3.86 in July of 2017, and now the price is $27 and change. Must have been an accounting error? Shucks. Should have bought a whole case! They are nice and bright. We use them as night lights when we have company. Four dollars is a great deal because they don't last very long. Twenty-seven dollars . . . . ? Not so much.

Love these spheres. Started buying them in 1995 for fast decorating of outdoor maple trees at Christmas time. And every sphere and every bulb still lights as bright today as they did 22 years ago - grant it they're only on for 3 weeks a year. Long cords with attached "S" hook make them easy to hang, and long electrical cord allows bulbs to be hung at branch ends when running cord to center of tree. Love these.

Upon receiving this item, only half of it would light up. I replaced the fuses in the plug, but it did not fix the problem. The sphere cannot be opened to check wiring because the two halves are put together with rivets instead of screws. I called the manufacturer but their customer service could not find the item by the product number listed here. The manufacturer was of no help. I will not be replacing this item. I don't have confidence in the quality of this item and there is no support from the manufacturer.

It's pretty but only half of it works, looks like the moon, only one side lights up. PATHETICALLY SAD

Ordered the purple one for my daughters room. Although it is purple unlit and pretty outside the minuteyou turn it on its more a pinkish color. My daughter hates that. Will keep it though as unlit it looks niceon a bookcase.

I ordered the twinkling light but it did not twinkle. I ordered it again and same thing happened. It says twinkles on the box but they sent me the wrong one twice! I sent both back and ordered the regular light as it is the same non twinkling light but so much cheaper. Very pretty. Wish it twinkled.

I got several of these last year and was so pleased I ordered more. they are so bright and sparkling, easy to hang and hold up well. I have used them inside and outside. would definitely recommend these.
