Still impressed.....
This desk is sturdy, easy to assemble, appears just as described, and very reasonably priced in my opinion. When I arrived home from work and saw the very large box this came in, I was a bit nervous the desk itself might have been damaged because the box did not look very good. But I know how shipping goes sometimes, so I was hopeful the desk was in good shape.I should preface the rest of my comments with the fact that I am an accountant at a manufacturing company. I pay attention to all things associated with getting a product I ordered and how they end up being executed as promised when I placed the order versus delivery. Including things like packaging, installation instructions (if applicable), shipping time, condition at delivery, and of course the product itself. I was more than pleasantly surprised when I opened this box. The condition of the box was no indication of the condition of the components of the desk inside that box. It is very apparent that this company is aware of how it's product travels and the conditions it will have to make it through to arrive to their customer in the same condition it left their building. Not only because it is a sturdy product to start with, but also because they meticulously package the components with the proper packaging materials to ensure it can travel securely and safely through all shipping environments it might encounter. All the screws were in a sealed and labeled plastic package with perforated lines on the backside for easy opening. Additionally, the end part of that package was labeled as spare parts, also sealed separately. I cut that entire end piece off with a pair of common household scissors so I could keep that in one piece in the kitchen drawer. Having the spare parts sealed on the end of the package was brilliant and very user friendly.A ratchet comes with the desk to assist with assembly. The ratchet is attached to a piece of cardboard with a clever message on the backside of the cardboard. The quality of this tool is outstanding. It is now part of my toolbox and normally little tools that come with items for assembly get thrown away after use.The instructions for assembly were easy to read and simple to follow. I put the desk together myself and found it simple to do with as the tools and instructions provided were exact and easy to execute. My desk looks like the picture in the product I ordered. Finally, there was another envelope included that is what really made me write this review, which is the first one I've ever done for any product, ever. The message on the inside of that envelope exuded to me the culture of the company that I bought this desk from. I could feel it through that message, so much that I took all the pieces of this packaging and showed the owners of my company. I am so impressed with my experience with this product that I'm still talking to people about it.....and it's a desk! I would never have imagined being this impressed with a furniture company, more because of the packaging with care of their product than the actual product itself (which is really amazing too), to feel this compelled to write all this about a desk......

Better then expected
I tried to get a desk and every IKEA desk is sold out for the time being. Then this desk comes up as Amazon daily deal. Cheaper than the IKEA desk. I grabbed it. Thinking this is just some wooden board and some kind of legs. But no. Contrary. Assembly was very easy. The packaging was fantastic. Even the Styrofoam buffer parts were packed in plastic bags so if they break they don't spread the little pebbles all over the place. Nice thinking. It is assembled with a normal allen wrench but they give you a little ratchet wrench. So easy and nice. I will keep this in my toolbox. The surface is very sturdy and does not scratch easy. the IKEA desks were scratched and damaged right away. This desk does not scratch with normal use. And it can be taken apart very easy. So moving is no issue. Some people mentioned they could not use a clamp mount like for monitors. Yes it has a metal edge but my monitor arm clamp worked great. If it really does not work for you, get a little piece of wood a little higher than the metal bar and clamp it in between. Problem solved. Anyways... Very nice desk. So glad I stumbled upon this one. I would even pay full price for this now that I know how nice it is.

It's the little things.
So, a quick over view of the desk. I bought the 55 inch Espresso colored one, and it is exactly as advertised. It was extremely easy to put together, basically the metal pieces slot together, and the top is bolted on to the frame. If you have a nice open space, should take under 20 minutes to assemble, so simple the instructions aren't even needed, and how many times can you say that about flat pack furniture? It is also very solid and sturdy; no wobbling, buckling, or bending of any kind, and the faux wood top is smooth, solid, and water resistant. I wouldn't use it as a step stool for fear the top might break, but this should have no problem whatsoever holding 50+ pounds. Beautifully fits my computer and two 22 inch monitors. So, the table itself is excellent quality for it's price, definitely worth the buy, but I want to add a bit about Zinus. This is the second piece of furniture I have bought from Zinus. The first was a metal bed frame about a year ago, and I have been very happy with it. I just feel it is worth mentioning the little things that make me appreciate this company over others I have bought flat packs from.1. The packaging. The packaging is simple, and unremarkable, with one very appreciated small touch; the foam they used came in a plastic bag. If you've ever gotten furniture packed in this kind of foam, you have probably been greeted by a bunch of little white foam bits flying everywhere when you open the box, as well as it clinging to you and everything in the box. It's a mess and very annoying. Because Zinus puts their foam in a bag before packing, it means that it stays in the bag if it breaks apart. No mess, no extra clean up. Nice touch.2. Quality rubber feet. Most furniture that sits on the ground comes with little pads that you stick to the bottom to prevent damaging your floors. They are usually thin, don't provide much grip, and don't stick well. The pads provided with this are THICK rubber which provide a lot of padding and grip on hard floors, but are also rigid and sticky enough that they actually stay on if you slide the desk a little bit.3. Included Ratcheted Allen Wrench, as opposed to the basic L-shaped wrench included with every other piece of furniture ever. Honestly, it's not needed here, as there are a total of 12 bolts to screw, and they are all very easy to get to, but Zinus actually spent the extra few cents to include a ratcheted allen wrench to make screwing in the bolts a tiny bit easier.Admittedly, all of these things are fairly minor and ultimately, don't necessarily affect the ultimate question, "Is it a good desk?" But, these are the kind of thoughtful little things that I believe no where near enough companies do, and shows they actually put additional thought into customer satisfaction above and beyond simply giving you what you paid for. And I think that deserves praise.

These tables make great computer desks! (55" Espresso)
All negative reviews are people who went way over the100lb weight limit estimate or people who's came with shipping damage. These tables are amazing as computer desks. My PC weighs just shy of 45lbs, my monitor weighs 30lbs, and the rest weighs about 10lbs. This table can hold that plus me (140lbs) no problem. Of course, after weeks of that it would start to bow in the middle, but not break. They can probably hold an evenly distributed 150lbs safely (just an estimate). The table feels very sturdy and solid and is easy to put together (though you might need 2 people for the larger version). The tables are also quite heavy, but not so heavy that it makes them impossible to move alone.I got two of the Espresso black ones and one of the shorter Espresso ones. They look so professional as office desks. The best part about them is that the color is a near-true Espresso that retains the wood grain appearance. That means that predominantly black computer equipment will not blend in, causing an "all-blackout" look that seems a bit dated. These are perfect for black-colored computer equipment. Grab the color that matches your equipment best. Since these tables are wood, you can drill accessories from IKEA into them if you want. They will hold it. They are also just tall enough for coffee tables and small drawers to fit under. I used to have two tables in my 12'x12' office. After removing some unwanted furniture, I have more space in the room and more desk space as opposed to my older tables.- The tables will NOT ship in 2 days, even on Prime (at least for the central CA valley). Mine shipped in 5, which was fine.- My table came with small amounts of shipping damage (in pics). It was so insignificant I didn't bother returning. Yours may vary.- I am 5' 3" and if I had a better chair, these tables would be amazing for my height.- These tables are heavy enough to not wobble on thicc carpet like some cheaper, lighter ones.- The surface of the table is not perfectly flat. Doesn't matter for writing & drawing. Not so good as drafting tables.Overall I will probably buy another one for my room, or put it in the garage. I wasn't even supposed to keep the third short one I got but I liked the build quality so much I found space for it!

Pretty good, but little things
I have 3 of these tables, which I think says enough. It's a nice looking table for a good price. It's a firm table top that's rich in color, secured with a stable steel frame and it's stylish. I'm an avid PC gamer and I often work from home, so it's important to have a steady table to support my monitors and desktop. My cat also jumps up on the table, and he's a big boi, so I'd prefer to have something I feel won't topple over or wiggle.I am picky on my furniture and the color the wood. I'm also tall, 5'9, and I have plenty of room for a stool, my legs and a trashcan to all fit without nudging or feeling tight. I've not had any issues with these tables arriving scratched, dented or missing pieces. All of the holes have aligned and the setup has been super easy. They also include some little grips for the metal edges. I have wooden floors so that's a plus. The only thing that I was a little wary of was the last table I received was a bit more wiggly than usual. I couldn't identify where it was unstable, though it doesn't seem to be affecting anything for the time being. Also, something that confused me and just personally made me frown, was the bag that had the screws, instructions, etc. in was torn open from the bottom. I worked several years for a company where we packed items for customers and I would have never sent an open bag (torn from the bottom...) to them. To me that's a sign that this was already used, perhaps one that was attached to a table that was returned (the customer opened backwards even though it has a ziploc end... which happens way too frequently and a red flag of return or sloppiness). If they had at least put it in another bag, even if it didn't match the product itself or what I had gotten in the past, that would have been fine. Really it's just a sign of quality control. The package was pretty beat up when I got it. I was worried that the table would be damaged, but to my surprise it was well enough protected to where it came out just fine. I know that's not necessarily the seller's fault and more so the people who are being careless with their deliveries. It's a big table, but it wouldn't hurt to have a little extra padding on the front and back of the box, rather than just attached to the corners and the metal frame.I will definitely buy these tables again as long as they continue to hold up. I've heard some not okay things about Zinus' customer service; however, as long as the tables keep arriving in wonderful condition, I won't have to deal with that, ha!

Functional and afforable desk
Bottom line up front: Quality desk at a good price - Serves it's basic purpose and is EASY to put together! My wife and I wanted to upgrade the desk in my son's room to a more "grown up" and functional desk. He had a small white Ikea desk that he was always complaining about because it didn't have enough room for him to do homework or for him to build his legos on. This came up on sale for about $55 (I think?) and was a snap purchase because of the good reviews and it looked like it was perfect for what we needed. The dimensions defintely fit the space we needed it for. When the desk arrived it was very easy to put together. There are onlyabout 6 pieces to assemble; the "legs" are in a couple different pieces and went together easily, and then they attach to the table top. The area underneath the desk was perfect for a cheap rolling storage cart we picked up from Target for less than $10 and solved the issue of having no desk drawers. I hooked up my son's PC monitor using a swivel arm (another Amazon purchase) and the desk was able to accomodate it just fine. No clearance issues or balance issues.Overall couldn't be happier with this desk.Pros:Quality table top and overall constructionEASY to assemble (everyone hates a nightmare project)Stable - Doesn't rock back and forth even on carpetCons:None so far

Cozy desk! Iโm in heaven!
Iโm utterly in love with this desk! Itโs such visually nice wood and the desk is so sleek. It only took me about 10 minutes to put together; and thatโs because I was moving slow and taking my time. Literally only 5 main pieces to put together (minus the few screws included). The desk is sturdy and is holding my 32โ monitor on its monitor arm just fine along with my laptop and other office items. This is my dream desk as a college student! Definitely worth the price, so buy it!

Good Desk
I switched from an L shaped desk to this because I wanted to change up my work space as a freelance illustrator, I found that the L shaped desk limited my workspace more than I thought it would. As far as size, its good. I got the 55" long desk. Assembly was super easy. It seems sturdy enough. I do not keep anything heavy on it aside from a half gallon betta tank and it holds that just fine. Parts seemed good quality. My only complaint, and I wouldn't really even call it that. It's more of an occupational hazard, but the texture of the top of the desk isn't something I care much for, but that's likely due to a sensory issue with my ADHD. It feels very grainy. But that is something that as far as an issue, will depend on each person. It's overall a very straight forward, simple, easy functional desk and I do recommend it.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED - less than 1 hr for one person to assemble & product exactly as shown!!
It arrived 1.5 hours ago, I assembled it myself in less than an hour and am writing a review already because I'm THAT pleased.I got the larger size and it was still easy enough to assemble as a 5ft4in person. It would be a lot easier to lift and faster to assemble with 2 people. Easy to understand instructions and sticker labels on the actual parts to help make sure you're doing it right! The desk is sturdy and sleek looking just as shown in the pictures!Zinus products (I've ordered a bed frame before) always seem to come well laid out with the necessary tools included (just need scissors or a knife to open like with any packaging). Also included a couple cute thank you cards and reminder to recycle, just overall a great experience (felt personalized even though it's a bigger company!).I also liked the rubber bottoms to stick to the bottom to avoid scratching of your floors... Very easy.I looked at so many desk options and one of the reason for going with this one was based on my positive experience with Zinus in the past, and I am very happy that it has surpassed expectations simply based on the easy of assembly.

Excellent! Great quality and looks awesome.
Really impressed with Zinus, the assembly was an absolute breeze, by far the best flat pack I've ever assembled. Quality is wonderful and it looks fantastic. Well done Zinus team!

Wow. Just, wow. I am without words. Other than WOW.
Now this, THIS is a company that cares about it's product.Holy smokes, when I first just opened the box I was in awe, it looked like a work of art,;in terms of the way it was just packaged, the care put into it. I've opened a lot of boxes, let me tell you, and I don't think I've seen a company go to these lengths of just perfectly setting up the contents in the box, the abundance of styrofoam, the zip ties holding it all together, everything was perfect; I almost felt bad about taking it apart to assemble.Heck, the screws were in their own little cute package, organized and labeled, not just tossed into a cheap bag like I'm accustomed to. They even gave me a cute little ratchet to make assembly easier! Not just an allen key, which it did come with if I recall correctly, but a little ratchet too, holy smokes! And little cute thank you cards? Amazing! This, my friends, is a company that CARES. Not just about the product quality it self, but about its presentation, despite the extra costs in throwing in the little ratchet tool and the extra care in packaging. I mean really, how many companies can you think of that go to these lengths when selling affordable items?Oh, you wanted to know how the desk is? I have no idea, I haven't used it yet. After assembly, which literally took less than 5 minutes after taking everything out of the box (no lie - I doubt I hit 5 minutes in assembly time), I rushed down to slap this review together. Assembly is set up in a way where even a blind drunk lethargic chimpanzee can put this together with no effort, so heck, even I managed to do it.Desk it self feels sturdy, I bought it for my PC and monitors, I'm sure it'll be fine. There's enough reviews on here gushing about how great the quality of the desk feels, for the cost especially.Wow. An absolutely amazing company, I'm shocked to see it in this day and age. Thank you so much!Edit: I've been using the desk for a couple of days now, it's perfect. Holds 2 monitors with a little extra space on the side. Very sturdy, no rocking or anything. Best desk I've had in terms of height, I can actually rest my arms on my office chair's arm rests while using the mouse comfortably, may sound weird but I've never had a desk I could do that with. All around a great quality product, with an amazing price. Strongly recommended.
