Wow. This is made by an actual book binding company, which I did not expect for the low price but is very obvious when you touch and feel it. It’s sturdy, gorgeous, and gives me that feeling and smell that I love. The Velcro mount on the back is sturdy despite how much I throw my kindle around. The magnet to hold it closed is essential! It stays protected through everything, really smart and functional choice. I also read in the bath very frequently (at least twice a week for hours) and this has no signs of water damage from either the hours of steam or accidental splashes. I wouldn’t dunk it in water of course (I doubt it’s even designed to be used near water so sorry for giving you ideas!) but I’m just really pleased that I didn’t have to change my reading rituals to enjoy this product. It’s very light so I have no wrist pain. The magnets work both ways so while it feels wrong to flip the a normal book cover all the way back, this cover can handle it like a champ and keeps the front cover securely attached and out of the way if you want to hold it with one hand. I really respect the company for making a unique quality product, they even sent a little note with the purchase about themselves. This is by book lovers, for book lovers.

WOWWWWW!! This case is SO BEAUTIFUL. My dad got me the Kindle Paperwhite for Christmas, and I immediately went looking for a case. As soon as I saw this one I knew I wouldn’t find anything more stunning. I ordered it immediately and yes it takes FOREVER to arrive from the UK (I’m in California). It’s been 5 weeks 😱 HOWEVER! I knew that going in from reading reviews so I patiently waited. I also knew from reading reviews that I shouldn’t expect any embossing (it is printed on thick cardboard, like a book) and that it would literally have the feel of a hardcover book. This is also true, and also something I knew already. So if you do read the reviews beforehand you will be (like me) completely wowed when you see this beautiful thing! The personal notes are so sweet as well. The design is so gorgeous, even more pretty in person, and just looks so fricking adorable and petite with my kindle on it! I like that the inside is just as detailed as the outside. And I can tell that the company are constantly improving the design judging from previous pictures and videos - I didn’t have to stick anything to my kindle (previous designs were that way) and it arrived with the holder in place so you just slip your kindle in! It’s a perfect fit. I was nervous to bend the spine back even though they are designed to bend back - but once I did it feels totally fine for the case. Though the case is so pretty I don’t even want to hold it one handed anymore! Love that there is a strong magnet that holds it open too. ALSO- this may sound strange but I swear the case SMELLS like the UK. I lived in Scotland for two years and when I smelled it I got that wonderful nostalgic sensory memory hehe. This case definitely gives you the “real book” vibe that people like me who read on Kindles can sometimes miss. I do think that it won’t be the most durable case out there, so I plan to treat it somewhat delicately. With that said, I don’t mind having a cheapy whatever case that I use for heavy duty travel or beach reading and leave this one for home/gentle use. If you tend to be hard on your electronics, maybe this is not the case for you. But if you want that utterly gorgeous vintage book look, feel and SMELL and you’re prepared to be a little tender with it then it is absolutely worth the money and (very long) wait. LOVE!!

This thing looks/works great, I was a little skeptical of the velcro adhesive but man this stuff is strong. There is no danger of it accidentally coming off and dropping the kindle, it takes some strength to pry this sucker apart once it's on there. My husband likes to take his tablet in the bath so this will work great and he can un-velcro the case and put it back on when done. It feels solid like a real book cover and at a glance on a shelf I would not know the difference, it also holds like a real book and the detail inside and out is well printed and beautiful. I kind of want to buy them all just to have more cover options.... but that's probably excessive. But yes this one is worth the price and lovely. Good quality, not a cheap replica. EDIT: 6 Months later and it still looks near new. I see a lot of folks saying it doesn't last, that isn't the case for mine. Appears to be lasting and still looks great, no complaints and likely going to buy another design!

First off, this thing is cute. Like crazy cute. Like people are giving me compliments all the time every time they see it cute. It's made of a good, sturdy board with beautiful clean lines and a gorgeous crisp design. I absolutely love this thing! The magnet that holds it closed is extremely strong, so when I fold it open it snaps together so tightly that when I am ready to close the cover it's actually a little hard to wrestle apart. That being said, it seems like it's holding up well. The only reason I give it a star off is because it's advertised as having a Velcro piece so you can take your Kindle out of the case. It's important to note that I could not get my wireless charge to work through the case, but I wasn't too worried because I could just pop it out and toss it on the charging pad a couple of times a week. Unfortunately, while you technically can take it out, the piece of Velcro is so strong that it is a battle to get it out. After removing it once, I noticed it was actually pulling the backing away from the board, and I feel that if I did it again it would actually rip the inside cover off of the case. It needs a much smaller piece of Velcro. The material they're using is incredibly strong and they don't need a 2x3 inch step to hold it. It's not a deal breaker, I can still plug my Kindle in and charge it. But I was a little sad, because I honestly had thought I would buy a few of these and I could change the case depending on my mood. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be taking out of the case again because I don't want to damage it.

Print image quality is good and easy to put on. Pretty thick, so it'll protect your eReader. I've had it for about 5+ months and the cover has gotten damaged on the edges, but I've been putting it through hell in my bag and it's holding up well. It's VERY heavy in my opinion and I always have to read with it leaning or flat on the table. It hurts my wrists after holding it for more than 10 minutes.

This is a super cute kindle case for my kindle paperwhite signature edition. As describe, the case is lightweight, well made, and a great size. When closed, it looks like a hardback book, which I love. I’m not crazy about the Velcro (mostly because I hate the sound), but that’s a minor issue, especially since I’ll not remove the kindle unless & until I get a new case. The Velcro is really strong, so no worries that the kindle will fall out. The magnetic closure is secure and I have no concerns with my kindle being damaged. I also liked the inner label that says the cover was “handmade” in England and included the name of the person who made it. That was a lovely touch and I appreciate that it was handmade, especially in this day of cheaply made, mass-produced items manufactured in countries that are not known for fair wages or good labour practices. As I haven’t had the case very long, I cannot comment on durability. But will update this review in a few months.

The cover is lovely but it feels heavier than the kindle itself and adds a bit of bulk and pointy corners. It does not have sleep/wake functionality but does have very strong magnets for closure. It would be so nice if they added sleep/wake since there are already magnets. Also it seems to be made of a thick paper material and has not held up around the corners at the fold points. It's been ripping and that's unfortunate.

I needed a cover for my third generation Kindle and they are hard to find. This one purported to fit all generations so I decided to go for it. I was unsure about the case with insert or the one without, so I ordered one of each. The price difference was quite large, so I had intended that if this one wasn't considerably better than the other I'd return this one and keep the cheaper, 'held in place by Velcro' one. The 'book' is beautifully constructed and certainly looks the part. It was not signed by its maker, sadly. Inside is a silicon (?) protection shaping into which the Kindle fitted easily. However, the inner case was squint in the book and I knew it would drive me nuts, so I took the Kindle out again and poked about a bit to see if it could be moved. Transpired it was held in in exactly the same way the Kindle, without the protective case, would be in the cheaper 'book'. There is a piece of Velcro adhered to the book and the corresponding Velcro adhered to the back of the silicon case; all that was required was careful peeling and the silicon came away and could be repositioned. It also means that I can change covers and still keep the Kindle in the protective case, as the same method of affixing is used in the other one. If I ever want to replace the cover I need only buy the cheaper one and it will work fine with the protector from this one. On the down side, the over all dimensions of the book are too small to hold comfortably. The protective case takes up virtually all of the dimensions, so there is no 'lip' to hold on to when holding the book with one hand. I like to read in bed with my Kindle and even after a week the corners are looking a little dog eared. Holding it in one hand is uncomfortable as the corners are quite sharp and there is not enough book edge to get a hold of. The cover shuts with a magnet and, when folded back on itself, the cover is held fast by the back. However, the magnet is very strong and it smacks shut with quite a snap and it hard to reopen. When the book is shut normally it is fine. Overall I am not sure this is worth $40, but the $15 one may be. I miss the pocket on my previous one for a duster for the screen, the rounded corners and greater width. It lasted 8 years. This cover does look good, but I am not sure how long it will last and that is more important that how it looks. In the final analysis, I didn't have a lot of choice, due to the age of my Kindle, so I'll just have to be careful with this cover and hope it lasts longer than I think it will.

Eine wunderschöne Hülle für meinen kindle. Ich bin wirklich total verliebt . Da die Hülle aus einer Buchbinderei kommt, ist sie wirklich genau wie ein bucheinband. Nun fast sich der kindle auch von außen an wie ein Buch und fällt im Bücherregal gar nicht mehr auf. Da die schutzhülle selbst mit einem Klettverschluss an dem Bucheinband befestigen lässt ist es auch möglich zwischen mehreren einbänden zu springen oder den kindle zum lesen in der Ba dewanne aus dem Einband zu nehmen und doch die Hülle daran zu lassen . Ich werde mir auf jedenfall noch einen mit einem anderen Design bestellen . Vielen Dank an die hersteller für diese wundervolle Idee.
