Q: Can the remote be used with a teleprompter app., or as a scroll feature for Word on the iPad?

I don't think you can use the remote to scroll. I used the remote with an Android phone and its only function is to operate the camera shutter. I think it functions similarly with an iPad.

Q: What amount of width (of a phone) does it support? i have an otterbox case and a popsocket wallet on my phone and it tends to not fit other holders :/

The width is amazing it can open up approximately 6" I would say. I have an otterbox on my phone and it holds wonderfully. You can position the phone in the holder away from the popsocket and it will still hold it firmly. I highly recommend it.

I can't speak specifically to iOS as I have Android. However, when I experienced this issue, I tried the following troubleshooting steps. First, note if your remote has both an iOS and Android button. It doesn't hurt to try both but be sure you are pressing the correct button. Secondly, be sure to turn off the switch on the side of the remote and then back on. If the light is flashing blue, it is trying to pair with your phone. If the light turns solid blue, then it has paired and connected successfully. If the light continues to flash, try repairing and connecting to your phone via Bluetooth. If the light is solid and nothing happens when you press the button, try long press and holding the button. If that doesn't work, try double pressing the button. After these steps I was able to get mine paired and working with my Android. I hope this helps. Best of luck.

Q: Does remote has led light that blinks when I pushed picture button?

The one I received has a "Bower" bluetooth remote control. It has a red light with a camera symbol in the center. On the right side there is a slide switch for pairing with your cellphone. The right side of the light turns blue when pairing. After paired, when the camera symbol is pressed the light blinks blue and the picture is taken. There is not a separate tiny led light for this function as shown in the picture for the Camera 360 iOS bluetooth remote.
