hhhhhmmmmmm!
honest review, I will keep it just because this is something different than a regular skate board, different feel and for different applications, I may say to practice some type of surfing movements at a slow speed. yes you still can have fun on it. but this is not for high speed on the bowl or down hill at the ramp or you really risk to easily fall and injure yourself.this is good for developing balance since it is very unstable and difficult to pump. like I said it is something different and still worth to add it to you quiver, and for slower surfing movements.

Shocked and Stoked!!!
Have all the major systems. Carver C7 and CX, Slide V3, Smoothstar thruster, Yow Meraki, Swelltech, Curfboard, Waterborne, Revenge and many others. All have improved my surfing technique but are far to stable and allow moments that are not possible on a surfboard or in the water. All besides the Swelltech have an inherent stop or limit on the front truck. The Holiway shocked me on 3 levels.1. Construction. Being plastic I was a bit worried it would be a toy....looking at you Maui and Sons surfskate! This has a high quality fiber re-enforced plastic that is very rigid. Wood and plastic all flex, unlike surfboards. Front caster has room for many upgrade options I will experiment with. Rear truck is decent quality but becomes great with a bushing upgrade.2. Appearance. Most surfskates look nothing like an actual surfboard. Many have a swallow tail but this has a slightly up swept nose.3. The Ride. By far this mimicks actual short board surfing better than any other system out there. For starters its immediately squirely/twitchy like when you pop up, giving better initial balance training then all systems. Next rail to rail this has an accurate lean and you don't have to worry about front and rear systems not matching angles and radius, wheel bite, or hitting the limiter. Pumps require rear weight bias, unlike other systems that you can get away with front or mid bias.Cutbacks and bottom turns feel more accurate because the single caster can go sideways with no resistance vs others where you get increasing resistance. Even grabbing the rail it's like 3 times thicker than a wood skate deck.If you are looking to commute or wanting an easy beginner surfskate I suggest other options. But if you ever wanted to up your actual surf skills and balance I cant suggest this more.
