Perfect for adding to my mug press for a tumbler

Good quality, flexible silicone wraps. I found these wraps to be helpful for use in a mug press while sublimating either a mug or a tumbler. If the mug press can't be adjusted to fit the mug, the 3 different sized silicone wraps can be used individually or together to fill the gap. Even pressure around the mug or tumbler really helps the design. These are also helpful when pressing a skinny tumbler in a mug press, once again allowing the machine to provide sufficient pressure to the tumbler by closing the gap. When the first half of the tumbler is done, the tumbler and wraps are put in upside-down to finish off the sublimation. In my opinion, these wraps are not helpful in a tumbler press when pressing a tumbler, however, since they can't cover the entire length of the tumbler at once. And because they are of varying thickness, they can't be used in tandem to get the same pressure across the entire length of the object.

I love that you get 3 different thicknesses. The thinnest one works great with most coffee mugs. The thickest one is great for skinny tumblers and the one in between is great for everything else. I also use these when I am pressing flat items too if I want some extra protection. They are best suited for the mug presses though. You will not experience ghosting when you use these. That alone will save you money and frustration. Very affordable too.

The description says the thickness is 1.5 inches, 3 inches and 4.5 inches. The thickest one is only 4mm. When trying to sublimate 17oz glass bottles in my 30oz tumbler press, I need to fill a gap that is bigger than 4mm. I already have a set this thickness so I was hoping the 1.5 inch would work. Disappointed when I received these.

This set is made up of 3 different sizes of silicone wraps that are used when sublimating mugs and tumblers. They help make sure there is consistent, even pressure holding the heat press plate against the carrier sheet and the mug or tumbler. During the first couple of uses there was a distinct smell but I didn't notice it after that. I found the mug wrap worked the best of the bunch. It covered the mug completely and allowed for even pressure. Using them in the tumbler press was a little more tedious as they didn't cover the tumbler well. I tried mixing and matching to get good coverage but it was more work than it was worth. So, if you are sublimating mugs, this is a most helpful tool but I can't suggest it for tumblers.
