Best Boots I’ve Ever Owned — and Incredible Customer Service!
Best Boots I’ve Ever Owned — and Incredible Customer Service! I’ve been a Danner fan for years (the Reckoning was my go-to), but these Tachyons are honestly on another level. They are the lightest, most comfortable boots I’ve ever worn. Right out of the box they felt like running shoes, but with the toughness you expect from a duty boot. Perfect for garrison wear and “boots & utes” training — breathable, flexible, and no break-in pain at all. The little details set them apart. The paracord-style laces are genius — they have just enough stretch to accommodate swelling feet throughout the day. I liked them so much that I called Danner to ask about longer laces. Not only did they answer immediately, but they sent me two free pairs of 74-inch laces (for larger sizes). Who does that anymore? That level of customer care is rare, and it sealed the deal for me. To be fair, I wouldn’t pick these for deep field exercises or heavy ruck terrain — they’re built more for speed, comfort, and everyday wear. But for daily duty, training, or just needing reliable boots that won’t destroy your feet, these are phenomenal. Bottom line: outstanding product, outstanding company. Danner once again proves why they’re the gold standard in boots.

These are Money...... Awesome!!
Finally went back to my senses and went back to good ol' Danner's. Why did I ever leave?? I'm in the Navy and wearing the Type III. I purchased the Rocky SV2 RKC050 Special Ops Boot as authorized for the Type III but these are heavy and don't fit as well as I liked. I've never worn Rocky's until recently and I'm not a fan. At the end of the day my feet would hurt/ache. I started developing foot pain despite wearing inserts. Yes, these Danner's are not on the authorized list but I'll take my chances. I went ahead and decided to go back to Danner's as I wore Danner's when I was attached to the Marines and never had any foot pain or issues. These are great! As others have mentioned they are light (lighter than my previous Bate Lights Coyotes). These are the perfect "Garrison" shoe. I don't think these would hold up on rocky-tough terrain (maybe) but these are great to have for the office or back at the Base. Light and comfortable. True to fit as I wear a 10.5 wide and these feel perfect. I inserted Spenco inserts in them as well as even better! Color is great too as some have posted they were olive green but these are definitely Coyote Brown. Highly recommend these boots. One tip, wear them with your boot socks inside the house for a good 8 hours straight to make sure they fit and don't leave hot spots and if not you can return them. Amazon will not take them back if you have worn them outside. These do feel "broken in" out of the box.

Best military boots out there. By FAR!
I love love love these boots. They lasted me 3 years and definitely could’ve lasted 2 more years. They are so comfortable and lightweight. I am a 8.5 in women’s and a 7 in males, they fit so well with plenty of room in the toe box. I did have to replace the shoelaces on my first pair after 6 months but that’s a small purchase. I am buying my second pair just to start fresh again. I could not recommend this brand and these boots more. Danner is the only brand I buy for boots from now on.

Whoah! These are Good!!!
It may bit early for me to do this review as I have only worn them for a week, but I think these are some of the very best I've ever had. They come neatly packaged in a Danner Boot box inside another shipping box. Right out of the box, these were so light I thought they were missing something. These really are the lightest boots I have ever held or laced up. These are lighter than my "Asis Gel-Venture" tennis shoes. I wear boot socks with these but regular cotton socks are just fine. I wear 10.5 in Tennis and Dress shoes.. all my boots are 10.5-reg and these are true to size. The fabric reminds me of a very thin black cordura and appears to be strong, somewhat water repellent and adhered to the boot in expected Danner quality and fashion. The lacing is not loose due to the cotton laces. If you need speed laces, that would be an easy fix with para-chord or another type boot lace. The thin black rubberized toe piece is good for frontal toe protection but having anything drop from above is gonna hurt. I would not classify these as protective or safety boots at all. I ordered these for EMT training and then the African bush later on. They will absolutely work great. After some recent heavy rains in my area, I wore these outside and was surprised how they gave better traction than expected. I wasn't even thinking about it, but it was just one of those moments when you tell yourself... "Whoah... these are good!" Danner boots at this price??? This is a great deal! Good every day boots.. Very light weight... Very high quality but remember, Not Steel Toe safety Boots. For Bikers... I ride with mine, but these offer the same protection as my high top 'Chuck Taylor's' Converse tennis shoes. There are better Bike options for ankle and foot safety. Happy Trails to all.

Incredible Feather Weight Boots!
I wish I would have found these boots sooner. Are you in the military? Are you working in law enforcement or security? Look no further! Most Law Enforcement or Security companies want only their security personnel to wear black shoes/boots. Boots are always better, because you are able to have more support with your ankles and feet and it comes in handy for fights and walking on your feet all day. I just wanna say, I have referred many of my security buddies / friends to these boots! And they come in different colors to for the military folk. Just make sure these boots are allowed for your unit or branch. I was a marine, so these boots were not allowed not even the in the tan color because we needed the EGA emblem on the boots. Anyways, these boots, I'm telling you right now, are the best boots I've ever bought. I just bought a new pair about 4 months ago because my previous pair was over 3 years old. If you are on your feet a lot on the job, no matter what job that is, security or not, and boots are allowed to be worn, I swear on these boots for life! They are Light Weight, hence the 8 oz. boots. They are feather light, extremely comfortable , durable and incredible. Before I found these boots, I was always buying the expensive heavy weight "Bates Boots". Don't get me wrong, Bates boots are awesome, but nothing can beat these boots! These boots like I say again, are light weight, which is Huge when you are wearing boots 8+ hours a day at work, walking around constantly or on the job. Why stress your feet with heavy boots that weigh roughly 4.5 lbs a piece. Look no further, all you have to do is, obviously know your shoe size...and that is it. Shipping is fast and these boots are insanely air weight comfy! Enjoy! I guarantee you will never look back again at any other boot brands, this is the way to go!

THE GREATEST BOOT EVER
Oh Danner, how you've changed my life...Gone are those treacherous days commenced by the donning of Standard Issue footkillers...Gone are the massive blisters that make me question the matter of life itself...Gone is my paralyzing fear of walking, running, or rucking for miles that seemingly never end. I have owned two pairs of Tachyons. I must have put somewhere around 300 harddddd miles on my first pair and have since put somewhere around 100 on my new pair. I have worn these things for long-distance runs, even longer distance competition rucks (the best boots you could ever have for the Norwegian FM), lengthy FTX's, airborne school, SERE school, and even at my wedding!...just kidding, nobody loves me :,( ... But I digress. My first pair wasn't even broken or anything -- I just lost them when I moved. I CANNOT recommend these boots enough. I have recommended them to every friend, mentee, and random passerby I've ever had/encountered. I've convinced so many people to buy these boots that Danner should pay me a commission. The pros are as follows: + SUPER lightweight. I have a pair of Hoka's and I'm pretty sure my Tachyons weigh less. + SUPER breathable: Don't you HATE wet feet? Whether you're a super-sweater like me, or just always seem to find a day-ruining puddle wherever you go, these boots will let you get dry quickly. Since they're so thing, they can't really retain water AND are excellent at allowing your feet to offgas a lot of that built up heat. + SUPER durable: As I mentioned above, these bad boys have yet to fail me. I'm not a mega-hooah, so I haven't gone through RANGER SCHOOL or selection, but these things have held up to everything that I've thrown at them. Even after 300+ miles they were still serviceable, if not a little beat up. Cons: + Not a lot of ankle support: I'm a big dude, standing 6'4 and 220-pounds. I don't have great ankles, but I've never had an issue with these. I'm only including this as a con because some of my weaker-ankled friends have mentioned that the Tachyons are bested by Garmont Bifidas in the uneven terrain of the woods. But seriously, I've done airborne jumps with these things with no issue; I've also crawled through all the inhospitable woods of the Great American Midwest and the Dirty South without any problems. I just wanted to include the disclaimer from my friends. + Not a lot of heat retention: As I mentioned above, these boots are pretty thin, especially in the uppers. While this makes them great for heat dissipation and rapid drying, it also makes them a mediocre choice for the cold. If you're frequently operating in a wicked cold environment, you'll probably want something like the Rocky S2V's -- which are practically ovens. + Iffy insoles: The insoles included in these boots aren't great. I did a quick swap with some Dr. Scholl's inserts from Walmart and BAM! the boots were perfect. I wish they'd have slightly better stock insoles, but nothing's ever perfect. If you're looking for THE BEST pair of ruck run boots, the Tachyons are your boots! If you're looking for a good pair of cool-footed garrison boots, the Tachyons are your boots! If you're working in wet, hot conditions, the Tachyons are your boots! If you like looking cool and feeling good, the Tachyons are your boots! If you...get the picture, these are THE boots for you. (PLZ sponsor me, Danner. I'll do any sport thingy you want for a free pair of Tachyons).

great boots at awesome price, fast shipping
i am a regular 7 to 7 1/2, but since only limited sizes are available at this awesome price, was tempted to gamble and hope they will still fit, and they do. Shipping was fast and effortless, boots look great and comfy and are way better that the cheap ones i got from china before. Im still looking for another bargain and get the remaining colors available.

Super light and durable
Amazing boots!!! Super light weight, these are actually more comfortable than my running shoes. I put these to the test all summer training for an event. I have put an unbelievable amount of kms on these running with a 40lbs ruck on my back. Now that the event is over I just washed them and they are like new again. They probably wont be good for winter, but that is to be expected.
