If you have natural kinky hair this brush does a really great job at getting your roots straight before a silk press. There are so many different versions of these on the market and I thought I’d have to spend a lot of money for it be effective on my hair. This is a great bang for your buck and I have no desire to try a different one. Here’s why I like it. 1. The temperature settings are at the bottom of the brush around the base. You won’t accidentally change the setting while you’re using it. 2. The bristles are soft. I thought the bristles would be hard and scrape my scalp but it actually feels really good because they are flexible. I didn’t have any issues with it yanking all my hair out, which was my main concern. 3. It definitely gets hot enough to blow your hair out but not so hot that you feel like you’re burning all your hair off. This is important to me because I’m usually planning on flat ironing my hair right after this, and that’s a lot of heat. My didn’t feel dry and brittle after. Also, I could leave the brush sitting against something right after use without worrying about it burning whatever its touching. 4. It’s comfortable to use and not heavy. You don’t have to think too hard about it. The twisting motion you do is very simple. Definitely try this if you like to wear your natural hair straight. I also wear a kinky straight u part wig and I was able to use this on the wig with no issues. It was great at getting the roots super straight.

I just don’t have words other than wow! Used it for the first time this morning and I touched up the not completely straight parts w my straightener before I went to work but on any other normal non work day I feel like I could use this and then go right out to door without any fussing w my hair. I saw one review say that it’s best to use on near dry hair and I agree with that, I shower at night, put my hair up and the next morning there’s minimal drying but makes it so quick. Left my hair so soft, super easy to use the grip on the end is so nice. It doesn’t get unbelievably hot and it’s hot tools so you know the quality is there.

This is the hair drying tool I never knew I needed. I saw it in a salon and decided to go to Amazon and see if it was cheaper and of course it was!😊 I have been using it for a few months and absolutely love it. I can dry and straighten my hair all in one. Saves time with my morning routine and it makes my hair look sleek and shiny. The only downside I have with it is that it seems to collect buildup from hair products. I still have to figure out a good way to clean it, but I'm sure I will. Even with that I still think it is amazing and can’t live without it now.

Originally I ordered the detachable but the sent the non so I'm hoping they'll let me review both when my replacement comes. Nondetachable: has low and high setting and cool down towards the bottom by the cord on the back. Had to look for it. This thing gets HOT! I have no problem believing that it will work on girls with thicker heavier hair. It should even work on really right curls if you do the right prep. I washed my hair last night and blew mine out this morning. I have a bit of kinky/wavy curl but it's weak so it came out without too much struggle. Section your hair! It will help you not miss any pieces and over do any ones you've already done. Towards the top of my head I turned the heat too low and was wishing for an extra heat setting. My hair is medium fine and medium thick density. The cool setting feels like it will never get used while you have your hair around the brush. (Going from hot to cool to set) it's placed in such a way as to be awkward to get too. I'm hoping on the 2.0 that that isn't the case. The cool tip on the top will get quite warm eventually and I found myself moving my hand down to the handle even with turning the brush off after each section. It probably got 30 sec of cool down time in between while I resectioned. Pretty decent brush. My hair did catch in the tip right away so be sure to wrap it around straight and not let it get by the seams. It'll catch for sure. Replacement: was the wrong kind again.

I was skeptical when purchasing but so glad I did. I love the way my hair turns out. It’s especially great for in between washings!!! Update: After 8 months of using the One-Step 4-5 times a week, it just turned off and won't turn on! I am very disappointed as I would think it would last a lot longer than that!

I have thick wavy shoulder length hair that frizzes when left to dry naturally. This product is a game changer, I have used similar ones before that would always get tangled in my hair. The way this one worked for me is to use it after my hair has dried for a few hours and is damp and I just brush a small section on medium heat and then keep twirling the brush and my hair is smooth and shiny - you’ll have to test it out to see what works for you (it didn’t work well when my hair was super wet or already dry). If needed, you could follow up with a quick flat iron but I didn’t have to do that.

This brush was great for the first month. Aside from it getting a little hot after use, I had no problems until recently. I purchased this brush on May 21, 2024 and by June 10, 2024 it no longer works. The plug in that goes in the electrical outlet makes very loud clicking/sparking noises and the "don't use this outlet" light blinks rapidly when I attempt to use the dryer. I assumed maybe something was up with my outlet at home, but I've since traveled with the brush this last weekend, and it didn't the same thing with the outlets at each hotel I stayed at as well. I've tried to reset the plug as well, and the dryer works for about 1 minute before a loud popping noise occurs and it stops. Short of starting what I could only assume would be an electrical fire, I had to stop using it. I attempted to reach out to Hot Tools directly, as I do love the dryer and brush heads and hoped to get the base replaced without having to buy the whole thing (brush and all) again. However, because this was bought via Amazon, a third party, they wouldn't help me and instructed I solve the problem with the seller (again, Amazon). Amazon also states they can't help, and that I need to reach out to the manufacturer... which I've already tried. Unfortunately due to these issues I can recommend this dryer as it seems to pose a safety risk to myself and my home based on the sounds and sparks coming from the outlet during attempted use. I don't think not even 3 whole months of use is worth it, even with the moderate price tag, which doesn't include the additional brush head I purchased too. I would say look elsewhere for your own safety.

This hair dryer is excellent if you don't plan on changing the brush. However, there is a plastic piece inside the chamber that breaks easily, causing the brush to sit unevenly. Given the price you pay, you would expect it to be manufactured better.

Me encanto' siempre y cuando usen termoprotector ya que calienta demasiado' mi cabellos no queda esponjado' eso si jala mucha energía pero tardas menos en cepillar y secar el cabello en menos tiempo
