This is definitely high protein meal replacement. I add, to the water, ice and a touch of almond extract to the blender and end up with a delicious shake. Tasty and easy to drink.

High protein, low sugar. Filled up my husband, easy to make and grab for an on the go breakfast. Not grainy or chalky. Chocolate tastes excellent.

When I found this I thought original would mean what this product was like years ago when it was originally launched then became wildly popular due to Bill Philips "Body for Life" program back in the late 1990s. I really enjoyed those shakes back then as they were thick, different than what it seems to be defined as thick today, and had a good flavor with quite a bit more volume. At that time you needed at least 12oz and preferably 16oz of liquid to mix them with. In fact, the best were 16oz of milk(of your choice) with one packet of chocolate and a banana or two tossed into a blender...those early days they weren't great for just shaking by hand in a bottle although it could be done. These shakes are not at all like those originals. These are more like what is so common today of thin, extra sweet, and foamy. While it's not 'bad' it is not the original formula or type from the 'good'ol days' of when I enjoyed these. So for any of you that are looking for that true original formula, texture, and taste this is not it and based on that context I wouldn't recommend. If you're just looking for a current day thin shakeable mix that you can get by with a lower amount of liquid then this is an okay choice especially given the protein content.

I've used the chocolate for years. I mix it in a blender with frozen berries and fresh bananas. Helps to cover the artificial sweetener that seemed to increase when EAS was bought years ago. Still the best protein drink I have tried as far as protein content amount and flavor. I dont care for the vanilla or strawberry. I have a touchy stomach and have never had any issues with this product. Texture is great with water and frozen fruit.

Great ingredients and mixes easy. The chocolate flavor was stronger in the original formula and would be great to match it.

My husband and son drink this protein drink after workouts. They will only purchase this brand and like to mix with with milk or apple juice.

If you want an easy to use, mix to your personal taste product, this is the one. Blends easily with milk and water in a shaker bottle. Maybe want to desolve it in a bit of water before mixing with yogurt. But the texture is extremely fine— not sticky and flour like. I liked both the vanilla and chocolate. My nutritionist thought the carbs profile was acceptable— keep in mind it is a meal replacement product though.
