Really fun trick, works awesome with practice, however not durable, in fact very delicate. The crowd reaction is worth it however.

This effect does actually work with practice, however keep in mind: He states on the DVD that the "thread is hard to break." It's actually not hard to do this accidentally, so be careful, or buy additional thread. In addition, the wax easily falls off the end if not prepared correctly. There needs to be some redesign to somehow make the end of the spool easier to find when the wax falls off. Get your magnifying glass, and be prepared for a bit of frustration.

The concept is brilliant, but the pen itself is extremely a low quality product. I purchased this product and was able to practice. I stopped using it for a month then when trying to get at it again I noticed it didn't work at all. I thought it was the battery and still I think that is the problem. Up to today, I haven't been able to pop out the part of the pen to replace the battery!!! It is like if it was sealed!!!Also, the pen tip is a pain to make it work as a regular pen. And not that I wanted to use it as a daily basis but when planing to perform I thought that it will be good to eliminate suspicions by using the pen. Almost impossible!!!Yigal should at least sell appropriate ball pen parts to use it for the pen.Also, I wonder if I have some sort of warranty as the product is expensive for a non-working pen.

What really upsets me is that I had bought the spider pen pro and as soon as I put it together and had it working the motor went out. I am vary upset after spending so much money. Im sure its a great product if it was to function as shown. But maybe its my type of luck to by something so expensive and the product just goes out. I wouldn't recommend other people waste their money on this product.

The spider pen pro is a superb device for both amateur and professional magicians. Observers who think they have figured out the trick are astounded when you back away and the item remains floating in air, and again when it flies back to your hand on command. No one for whom I have performed this has figured out how it works.Be sure to buy extra Mesika wax and a couple of reels when you purchase this item, as it is easy to consume the little bit that comes with the device as you learn to use the device and perform with it. This is easy to learn and so light and unobtrusive I carry mine with me everywhere. My only negative, a minor point, is that the pen tip is not attached tightly enough to really use for writing. This is not significant though, as you never need to remove it from your pocket to use it in performance. I consider this one of my favorite two or three tricks.

Overall good product. Only complaint is the battery housing doesn't stay in place.

The product is delicate and came broken from the manufacturer. The device is still functional but the part that makes it look like a pen is poorly made and mine arrived broken. This is not the first time this has happened with a Mesika product in my experience. 2/3 of my Mesika purchases have been lemons...could be chance, but buyer beware. I wish I had just bought a traditional $20 ITR.
