We just moved into a new home and didnt want to damage the wall but wanted a gallery of family photos. The Stas system was easy to install and looks amazing! The high quality materials and ease of use made picture hanging of various size picture frames quick. I ended up purchasing another pack of adjustable hooks for hanging more frames.

Instructions where pictures only so you had to use some interpretation and double checking before you did anything just to make sure. Suggest laying out your process and going through the motions once before you start. I went step by step and spent twice the time I should have due to needing to make adjustments that where not quick. Looks to be very sturdy. Keep in mind your pictures will not sit flush against the wall due to hanging from the cords.

It works just like they say, and I also found it easy to install. I think some of the other reviewers had problems installing it exactly at ceiling height - actually touching the ceiling. I decided to install it approximately 1" below the ceiling to avoid those problems, and had no issues at all. I would definitely recommend using a rubber mallet to attach the rail, though. Doing it by hand didn't work for me - but one good blow with the the rubber mallet was all it took.

First, there are no written directions for hanging the rail. There are only pictures that are inadequate and it was not easy to install. Second, I thought that the cliprail would give me flexibility to change pictures and rearrange them but that is not the case. It is so frustrating to hang the pictures with the hooks and then step back to see that they are at all different angles. I wish that I could return the system.

This worked out great for our main hallway that we made into a gallery wall. It was easy to install and I can change the items effortlessly. Pay attention to the weight limit of the vertical cords and the type of hooks you use. The system is sturdy enough to hold multiple pictures, ceramic art and antique mirrors. The included hooks are great for pictures on a wire. It was worth the extra money knowing that I won’t have to spend time filling up holes and painting my walls if I want to change anything on my gallery wall. The negative: The nylon cords tend to stay rolled up unless you place items on the very end. I ended up ordering steel cables (hangs vertical without weight) and the zipper pro hooks from Stas for bulky, heavy items like antique mirrors and my heavy ceramic art pieces.

I got this system to use for a solo art exhibition at a gallery in Nashville. The concept is great, but the execution not so much. First the instructions and customer service are lacking and difficult to locate. Be aware that your framed art will not sit straight on the cords and some will lean forward with no real solution to remedy it. When we finally reached someone they said they could send some type of adhesive putty, however the show opening reception was the next day so that wasn’t helpful as we wouldn’t receive it in time. We tried to use museum putty and it helped some, but eventually loosened and the framed prints leaned forward for the entire month they were on display at the art gallery :( The prints were not huge or extremely heavy and we used two cords/hanger clips for the larger prints. Most of the 8x10’s hung tilted to the side slightly regardless of how we adjusted the hanger clips. All 15 8x10’s were the exact same frame so they should have all hung the same. Some prints did hang straight, but the majority we had issue with keeping them straight. Why not sell your system or cords and hangers with the putty. I cannot even find the adhesive putty on their website or Amazon for purchase. Also you should include trouble shooting with your instructions or make it very clear what type of hanging system you need on your frame back depending on the size and weight of your framed art. My husband made his own wooden template to use for installation because we were not using it flush to the ceiling. - The thing we did like is that you can put the railing close to the ceiling or wherever you need it with fewer holes in the wall. We did an extensive research regarding the art pieces dimensions/weight we were installing and thought this would be the best solution but unfortunately it fell short especially for the cost of the products and additional cords and clips we purchased. So we are neutral and a bit disappointed.

This frame allowed us to display some affordable art prints in our home and office with ease and confidence that the assembled products would look great for many years
