The shapes of its sides make this sanding block faster and easier for varied jobs
The differently-shaped sides make this tool faster and easier to use than trying to switch sanding blocks, or make sponges or loose sandpaper conform to curves. It really speeds up my prep for staining wood with various curved, circular, and flat surfaces. It is a small sanding block though -- for larger jobs, it may be necessary to opt for something larger.

This is perfect for sanding strat-shaped guitar headstocks.
I think this is the fastest I’ve ever written a review. If you are making a custom guitar headstock and you need to sand after cutting, this thing has perfect curved sanding surfaces on it that will work for you. Probably works for the body, too, but I haven’t used it on that yet. It fixed the thing I needed to sand in about two minutes, though.I’m building a guitar from a kit and wanted to put a Stratocaster style headstock on a telecaster style body. I am not really a luthier, just some guy who likes to make stuff and occasionally pretends to be okay at guitar playing, so a real luthier might have other ideas about tools like this. I am trying to mention what I am doing in this review several times so other people who are trying to do the same thing will find it by searching.I don’t know why this came up in my related items but I’m glad it did. It is inexpensive and you have no reason not to buy it. It literally costs less than a mini blizzard from Milk Duchess [name changed to protect the innocent] does. Buy two of them in case you misplace one. Buy three in case you grow a third arm.If you’re still on the fence about it after reading this review, there’s nothing else we have to say to each other except goodbye.

A Handy Sanding Tool
I think this was a "filler" item to meet the requirement for overnight delivery. As it turned out, I have found it it be a very handy sanding tool, perfect for flat or curved surfaces of guitar bodies. The design uses a convenient-to-make 1/4 sheet of regular, 9"x11", store-bought sandpaper. The removable inner slide makes loading a fresh piece of sandpaper easy. The tool's flat, convex, and concave surfaces let me sand every inch of a Fender-style guitar body. Not bad for a "filler" item!
