I mounted this to a classic Schwinn cruiser frame I found at the flea market, with a little technical application and simple help from the clear instructions, this thing is solid! I had my 55lb kid sit on the back (no riding) and held him just fine. Plenty of mounting points also. Tools are not included, but can be found in any household tool kit. Bought this for my $100+ basic Walmart 26” bike (school bike ready to be beaten really hard). Fits nicely, including my pannier bag and the lower clip. This is the right price too. Only small compliant is that you need to put weight towards the end because the front arms do not form a stable triangle and a big weight can push the rack lower. Tightening the screws on the arms can help but be careful not to over tighten. I put a drop of loctite on all the screws, tightened the rotatable arm screws on the rack to 8NM and the arms onto the bike eyelet to be 5NM. Seem to work well. Also I used a big washer of my own on the back of the T adapter as the included one is too small for my bike and it almost bite into the center hole on the seat stay. A bigger washer distributes the stress more evenly over a bigger area.

Rear bolts snapped mid ride, and welded top of rack broke in two places with no load on them. Entire rack only lasted about 3 months total usage time. Clearly a quality control problem with this item, especially when so many other Schwinn products have been so good for me.

I just put this on my Velotric Tempo bicycle and it fit very well. I used the part that connect to the center cross piece right behind the seat. It is very lightweight and sturdy. It doesn't have any spring loaded carrier, but I didn't want it.

I got this rack because it was cheap/affordable. Installation was a bit of a pain, and took way too long compared to the last rack I put on a bike. The two adjustable silver rods that connect to the back of the bike were not easy to get just right, and I ended up swapping the sides they were on. I still had to just slightly bend them to get it just right. All that aside, it feels sturdy and secure once you do get it installed. The included hardware was just right for three of the screws, and for the forth one I just had to add some washers (which were included) and it was all good. For a low-cost rack it's a bit of a pain to install, but hopefully you only install it once and you're done. Nothing fancy, it works, and that's what matters. (Install pain made me rate it 4 stars instead of 5.)

You get what you pay for. I've had it for about six months and three times its fallen apart because the bolts have shaken loose. I've added lock-tight but its just not designed for carrying much of anything. It is a very adaptable carrier but I would look for something more designed for your bike and be sure to save the extra bolts.

This worked perfectly for the kid Guardian bike that other rack wouldn’t. Rack wasn’t too heavy and able to adjust to accommodate to bike. So far so good. Tough to find one that fits so I can add a basket for a backpack.

This rack was perfect for my collapsible basket. The weight of both is light enough to be of no consequence with maneuverability. When my husband attached it, he kept commenting what a nice rack it was. Now I am ready to ride!

Well priced, very sturdy, well built, easy to install. And works perfectly on my Electra Townie bike. Comes with all the parts you need to mount on pretty much any bike. I was able to use some metal mounting plates to attach a wooden crate to the rack. Looks and works just as well as the very expensive Electra branded rack and crate. I highly recommend this rack!

Sturdy and good design. I had returned a much more expensive competitor rack, because it wasn’t fitting well. Went for this design as it had fewer struts - to me it looked better. Loads of adjustment. Easy enough to fit on my road bike. All m5 bolts needed, are included. They even include fittings if you have a bike that doesn’t have mounting bosses. Took a few minutes to fit to my bike. Very impressed. Seems sturdy.

Item broke after 2 months of usage.
