Gas chimney fire place
I order this unit replacement and upgrafe my 50 years old plus natural wood stand. Item arrive as listed and easy to set up. Look very clean and real wood and fires. No more wood ashes and cleanup, Would highly recommend to friends and family to get one. Jon

This is a top quality US made product; not cheap China stuff. Packaging is top notch. All metal parts are heavy duty and well welded together. Ceramic logs are beautiful as well. Very easy to assemble even though great instructions are provided. Works great and looks amazing. Get this one, you will not be dissapointed.

Beautiful, overall a good all-in-one for existing fireplaces
So, for me the best part of this product is the fact it is sold on Amazon. For a purchase of this size, it's nice to know you have Amazon behind the seller just in case it doesn't work out and you have to return it. That said, I did talk to realfyre, the authorized distributor, and they seemed nice enough and knowledgeable.They claim the ceramic content in these logs provide some radiant heat, but I don't see much. From my understanding, radiant log heat isn't as much as one might expect. Certainly not as much as coming from a wood fire.FWIW, you should never put a fan in front of a gas fire like this. The problems include taking too much oxygen from the fire and creating soot, as well as the real threat of carbon monoxide poisoning.The remote works fine. Took awhile to get things set up correctly-- though I'm no expert. The remote seems old technology, but works fine. I would've preferred some sort of smart home capability, but this product, even though using a remote control, doesn't have anyway to connect to Alexa or other. The dealer said to contact the manufacturer and they may have a solution-- though I never did.The logs look really good and very realistic. Same with the flames. Just not too much heat. Overall, I'm happy I purchased.
