LED Headlamp, Spark, with Advanced Aspherical LED Lens, Brightest LED with140 Lumens Output, Energy Saving Design, 3 Packs

I’ve had this light for about a year now and I really like it. I run on paved streets in the early morning and it works well. I wear it over a running cap so I don’t know what it feels like on a bare head, but on the cap I don’t even notice it. The beam spreads out to about 5-6 ft. wide at about 4-5 yards ahead (1.5-2m at 5m ahead) which is perfect for lighting up the road in front of me and showing where there are potholes and debris. It’s bright: I have no problem seeing the road ahead, even when I’m running down a road without streetlights. I haven’t tried it for trail running, but I think the beam may be a bit narrow for trail running. I haven’t really kept track of battery use, but I would guess batteries last for about 40+ hours. It certainly doesn’t eat batteries. I’ve very satisfied with this light and I would buy it again.

I live in New England and walk my dog every day at 6:00 am regardless of the weather. This is a must in the fall and winter months as it's still dark in the morning. It stays on your head and doesn't slip, even with a hat on. I also use it running in the evening and have never had it come loose or fall off. Nice and light and easily adjustable. This is money well spent to keep you exercising year-round.

I like headlamps over regular flashlights because it allows for use of both hands. I bought this to go in my car's emergency bag in case I get stranded or need to change a tire, etc. This has a good beam and the batteries lasts a long time. It also has the strobe capability for better visibility while on the side of the road. I wish it had a red light option, but for the price I cannot complain. The only negative I can think of is the battery case itself. I think there is potential for that to fail at some point based on the materials used. I have some duct tape in my bag in case that ever happens. If you buy this light, I don't think you will be disappointed by the price to value ratio.

I just have to weigh in here, I am an ultra runner, I have done several 100 mile runs which take you through the night. My daily runs are all in the dark. I love my headlamps. I have a Black Diamond, and a Petzl. I got the BD wet and it won't turn off...it's out. My Petzl started going a bit in and out on me a couple of weeks ago, if you gave it a good smack it would work fine. I was signed up to run the Javenlina Jundred 100 mile run! I couldn't risk being 80 miles into a race, a 1 AM in the Arizona desert and have my light go out, that was a recipe to become coyote or javelina food! But I also didn't want to spend much money on a light. I went with this Yalumi thanks to the lumen rating and the customer ratings. I brought the Petzl as a back up. I not only didn't ever use my Petzl, but I used the Yalumi on the not-as-bright setting. It worked all night, was extremely bright, never faded and it guided me to a 1 minute PR on the 100 mile distance! I love it!

I really like this headlamp. I liked it so much I bought another one for my friend for his birthday. I have owned other headlamps in the past. I had one I really liked 10+ years ago, but I gave that one away. Then a few years ago I bought a Coleman brand headlamp from Walmart that I was very disappointed with. The Coleman headlamp was very uncomfortable on my forehead, with plastic digging into my skin. It also had a stupid twisty knob to turn it on and cycle through different functions. The twisty knob was inconvenient to use, and would sometimes twist to the 'on' position while in my bag. This Yalumi headlamp is nice and simple. Click the button to cycle through three modes: bright, brighter, and strobe. If you hold the button for 5-6 seconds you can 'lock' this headlamp so it doesn't turn on accidentally in your bag if it gets bumped. Hold it for another 5-6 seconds to unlock it. Very simple and effective. I use it all the time for camping, or just for a light source when digging out slivers, or doing any precise work.

I was very excited to use this for a camping trip I was going on the morning after the item arrived. The night before, when i got home, I opened the box, installed the batteries and pushed the button once. I didn't feel a click or any haptic feedback from the button push. I pushed again, this time the rubber button cover did not bounce back in. I removed the rubber button cover and noticed the micro switch/button broke off by the solder joints. Not sure if i have heavy fingers or if i received a dud. My guess is that i got a defected unit. After inspecting the button, i feel like better parts and manufacturing process could have been used, but hey it seems like everyone else's headlamps work fine. So it's either user error, or the manufacturing process and part quality.. My guess is towards the second for the headlamp i received. The headlamp did feel good on my head, the band was nice and wide. I did not like the battery compartment. The latch to open it seemed too light.. No pun intended..

Pros: inexpensive and brightCon: The beam is very narrowA narrow beam gives a lot of distance. However, if for most tasks the extra distance is not needed, then it comes at the expense of beam spot size. The beam spot is just too small/too tight. I'd rather have paid a higher price for a Black Diamond, which tends to have a good balance between beam width (spot size) and brightness.That said, if you're looking for a tight beam that casts a lot of light a long distance, this could be the one.

Provides a ton of light and does indeed have a long battery life (used for probably a total of 25 hours so far, and have not needed new batteries). I can't say I use the brightest or strobe light setting at all, but that's not a downside. I'm sure the one time I need them though, I'll greatly appreciate them.Is plenty customizable to be comfortable on my head, and the different available angles are wide-ranging and don't change just by natural movement (such as bobbing up and down while running, etc.Also, it doesn't hurt that is was cheap. In fact, I'd even say it helped.
